Why Work With Us? • Dynamic Environment: Experience the excitement of working across our General Practice (GP), Intensive Care Unit (ICU), and Emergency Room (ER), where no two days are the same., • Cutting-Edge Medicine: Work with state-of-the-art equipment and advanced treatment modalities that keep you at the forefront of veterinary medicine., • Supportive Team: Collaborate with a group of passionate professionals who support, inspire, and bring out the best in one another., • Work-Life Balance: Enjoy a set schedule that helps you balance your professional and personal passions., • Community Impact: Make a meaningful difference in the lives of pets and their families through compassionate care and outreach.Schedule:, • Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday: 3 PM – 11 PM, • Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT), • In the performance of their respective tasks and duties, all employees are expected to conform to the following, • Perform quality work within deadlines with or without direct supervision., • Interact professionally with other employees, customers, and suppliers., • Work effectively as a team contributor on all assignments., • Work independently while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with other employees and organizations., • Proficiency in proper animal restraint., • Ability to draw blood and place catheters (jugular and femoral catheterization required)., • Experienced or educated in laboratory procedures such as proper blood and specimen handling, reading of fecal assays, and urinalysis., • Familiar with radiographic technique and positioning., • Administration of intravenous drugs and anesthetic agents, including understanding the basic mechanics of an anesthesia machine., • Monitoring all patients and able to identify medical emergencies., • Proficiency in aseptic technique, including cleaning, sterilizing, and packing surgical instruments, drapes, and gowns., • Ability to assist in surgery at the discretion of the veterinary doctor., • Client communication and education, • Basic understanding or the ability to learn veterinary software programs., • NYS license required.
