Job DescriptionSalary: $20.14 Be Part of the Team That Keeps Suwanee Running Position:Public Works Crew Member Department: Public Works The City of Suwanee is seeking a dependable and hardworking Crew Member to support the daily maintenance and operation of city facilities, parks, streets, and infrastructure. This role is essential to maintaining the high standard of service our community expects. Key Responsibilities • General Maintenance, • Load and unload materials such as gravel, dirt, asphalt, and pipe, • Patch potholes, clean gutters, repair sidewalks, and maintain stormwater systems, • Operate equipment and power tools for upkeep and repairs, • Parks & Grounds, • Mow and trim grass, bushes, and trees across City parks and public spaces, • Apply herbicides and pesticides as needed, • Plant and care for shrubs, flowers, and trees, • Facility Support, • Clean and maintain public restrooms and City buildings (floors, windows, furniture), • Assist with setup and breakdown for City events, • Help maintain unique features like Suwanees interactive fountain, • Fleet & Equipment, • Perform routine maintenance on tools, vehicles, trailers, and equipment What Youll Need • Experience or basic knowledge in landscaping, construction, or public works, • Ability to safely operate equipment and tools in all weather conditions, • Understanding of work zone safety and traffic laws, • A strong work ethic and commitment to teamwork aligned withSuwanee Quality,Remarkablestandards, andVisionarythinking, • Valid (or ability to obtain) Georgia drivers license Physical Demands & Work Environment This is a physically active, hands-on role that requires working outdoors in a variety of conditions.
