Job Description Job Title: Data Business Analyst Intern (Part-Time / Summer Internship) Location: Hybrid (Nutley, NJ office and remote) Position Type: Part-Time Internship (with potential Full-Time Summer Extension) Overview Metro Ambulance is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Data Business Analyst Intern to support our growing healthcare transportation operations. This role offers hands-on experience working with real-world operational, billing, and financial data within a fast-paced environment. The intern will work closely with leadership and operational teams to analyze data, build dashboards, improve workflows, and support data-driven decision-making across the organization. Key Responsibilities Data Analysis & Reporting • Develop and execute SQL queries to extract, analyze, and validate data from operational systems, • Analyze large datasets related to trips, billing, reimbursements, and dispatch activity, • Design, build, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports for internal stakeholders, • Translate business requirements into visual, actionable reporting tools, • Work with data from the Traumasoft platform, including:, • Billing module, • Dispatch module, • Trip and patient data, • Assist in building and documenting data workflows and business processes, • Identify inefficiencies in current workflows and propose data-driven improvements, • Perform data validation, reconciliation, and accuracy checks, • Assist in identifying discrepancies in billing, payments, and operational records, • Work directly with business users across billing, dispatch, and finance teams, • Gather requirements and translate them into data solutions and reports, • Provide insights that support decision-making and operational efficiency Qualifications: Required: • Pursuing or recently completed a degree in:, • Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Information Systems, Finance, or related field, • Basic to intermediate knowledge of SQL, • Familiarity with Microsoft Excel (data analysis, formulas, pivot tables), • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, • High attention to detail and accuracy, • Experience with Power BI or similar visualization tools, • Exposure to database structures and data modeling concepts, • Interest in healthcare, operations, or logistics industries Part-Time: 20 hours per week (April 1 – May 31, 2026)
