Job DescriptionWhat you'll be doing: As Superintendent you will interface with clients, design teams, and construction crews to coordinate and participate in commercial construction projects throughout the United States. In addition to hands-on project completion, your responsibilities will include estimating costs, monitoring aligned budget categories, working with design teams, maintaining scheduling, and ensuring a seamless process of projects from start to finish. This position requires you to be hands-on, working directly in each project, and directly managing all trade subcontractors. This position will travel nation-wide. • Hands-on oversight on all phases of a construction project on site until completion, • Work with all trades personnel and subcontractors in the field to ensure they are on task to meet customer project goals and DWM profitability target, • Provide direction to team members and subcontractors to ensure all standards of quality and safety are maintained, • Maintain records of project progress, ensure deliverables, timesheets, and invoices are approved and sent in daily, • Practice accurate forecasting of project cost and timeline to ensure project bids are achieving expected profit margins, • Read and comprehend blueprints, purchase orders, change orders and submittals, • Monitor schedule of work to be performed and review work as accomplished, ensuring timelines are met, • Plan inspections and obtain construction permits from local authorities as needed, • Resolve on-site issues and emergencies, escalating to the Director of New Operations as needed, • Maintain clear lines of communication with Director of New Operations providing regular project updates, manpower forecasts, and reporting on all activities; including immediate reporting of urgent issues, • Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures, • Additional tasks and responsibilities as needed/assigned, • Ability to travel required at least 80% annually, nation-wide Education High School Diploma or GED Associates degree or trade school (preferred) Experience At least 2 years of job-related experience, specifically in construction At least 4 years of trade experience or trade management (preferred) Perks and Benefits: • Full-time, year-round schedule, • Professional growth opportunities, • Company-subsidized healthcare, dental, & vision insurance, • Tuition reimbursement & continuing education opportunities, • Generous 401K plan, • Flexible paid time off, • Free financial planner, • Company provided life insurance, • Short-term disability, • Employee discounts
