Company Description The Eating Disorder Space is a fully virtual nutrition practice that specializes in the treatment of eating disorders/disordered eating and weight inclusive medical nutrition therapy. We treat patients in New Jersey, New York, California, Arizona, Colorado, Michigan, and Virginia. This practice utilizes Heath at Every Size, Intuitive Eating, trauma-informed and equitable care to facilitate recovery and reconnection with food and body. Our specialties include: eating disorders (anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, BED, OSFED, ARFID), disordered eating, meal support, body dysmorphia, orthorexia, exercise dependence/avoidance, and weight neutral nutritional counseling for chronic conditions. The Eating Disorder Space is in network with Aetna, Horizon BCBS, and United Healthcare. Role Description We are seeking a 1099 contractor based in New York to facilitate virtual nutrition counseling sessions for our clients. Candidate must be a registered dietitian nutritionist (RDN), possess the appropriate state licensures or be willing to become licensed in practicing states, as well as have active malpractice insurance. Willingness to become contacted with insurance also required. The RDN must have experience working with persons with eating disorders and be knowledgeable about supporting those with co-occurring mental health conditions. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, warm, dedicated, empathetic, and can work independently. The Eating Disorder Space is specifically in need of RDNs that are seeking at least 5 hours of client sessions per week. The RDN must be based in New York but can be located anywhere while conducting sessions. The RDN can set their own schedule/availability within the business’s operating hours of 8:00am-8:00pm EST. Relatively consistent availability from week to week preferred to ensure that weekly availability aligns with assigned clients’ availability. January 2026 start date. Role responsibilities • Provide nutritional counseling and/or meal support sessions utilizing a weight-inclusive, HAES-aligned, and non-diet approach, • Maintain all required documentation, progress notes and treatment plans, in accordance to insurance guidelines, • Coordinate with client treatment team members: therapists, physicians, etc. as well as family members, as needed, • Adhere to client information privacy regulations - ensure that all client information is kept confidential and secure, • Work independently with minimum guidance Qualifications • Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential, • Licensed to practice MNT as a dietitian in the states of New York/New Jersey and willingness to obtain other state licenses as needed, • At least one year of experience working in eating disorder recovery, • Proficient knowledge of: eating disorders, weight inclusive care, HAES, medical nutrition therapy, and motivational interviewing skills, • Must exhibit a high level of professionalism, interpersonal and communication skills, creative problem solving, organization skills, and the ability to work independently, • Proficient with systems such as: Telehealth portals, Google Workspace, and EMR platforms Application Instructions If interested in this position, please email your resume and cover letter to .
