At this clinic, you’ll use your clinical and/or human centric skills to bring to life a new model of care that cultivates true wellness for our patients. The Moda Wellness Clinic is opening Fall 2025. Located in the Water Tower Building of Oregon's John's Landing neighborhood, Moda Wellness is offering its patients curated, future forward care through an integrated approach that will help our patients feel, live and look their best. Major Purpose The Functional Nutritionist provides evidence-based, personalized care rooted in functional medicine. This role bridges the Medical Director’s diagnostic strategy with the patient’s daily implementation, creating tailored nutrition and lifestyle plans that drive sustainable behavior change and whole-body wellness. Through expertise in nutrition, lifestyle medicine, and integrative health, the Functional Nutritionist empowers patients to achieve optimal health through education, coaching, and compassionate support. This is a part-time on-site position. Pay Range $36.40 - $50.05 hourly, depending on experience. Actual pay is based on qualifications. Applicants who do not exceed the minimum qualifications will only be eligible for the low end of the pay range. Duties & Responsibilities • Conduct comprehensive assessments, including dietary history, lifestyle factors, sleep hygiene, functional lab interpretation, and symptom analysis., • Design individualized nutrition and lifestyle recommendations aligned with health goals, such as therapeutic diets (anti-inflammatory, elimination, low FODMAP), stress management strategies, or protocols supporting hormone balance and metabolic health.,, • Educate patients on food sourcing, meal planning, supplementation, fitness, relaxation strategies, and sustainable lifestyle habits., • Provide motivational coaching using evidence-based behavior change models to enhance engagement and adherence., • Monitor progress, adjust care plans as needed, and document updates accurately in the electronic health record (EHR)., • Collaborate with the functional medicine and aesthetic teams to integrate nutrition and lifestyle strategies into holistic treatment plans., • Contribute clinic resources, workshops, and group education programs., • Stay current with emerging research in functional nutrition, integrative therapies, and aesthetic nutrition science., • Participate in team meetings, continuing education, and interdisciplinary case discussions., • Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and clinic policies., • Bachelor's degree in nutrition or related discipline required; Master’s or Doctoral degree preferred., • Current CNS certification or RD/RDN licensure preferred., • Functional medicine training or certification (e.g., IFMCP, AFMCP, FMCA, IFN Academy, or BCHN) strongly preferred., • Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in functional, integrative, or medical nutrition practice., • Familiarity with wellness coaching techniques to promote sustainable lifestyle change., • Experience in aesthetic, hormone-supportive, or cognitive health nutrition preferred., • Understanding of the role of mind-body practices (e.g., meditation, breathwork) in functional medicine., • Experience facilitating group education, workshops, or wellness programs a plus., • Proficiency with EHR systems (e.g. Nextech), telehealth platforms, nutrition-tracking tools, and basic computer skills., • Strong verbal and written communication skills., • Demonstrated cultural sensitivity with a whole-person approach to integrative health., • Professional appearance and demeanor in all internal and external interactions. Working Conditions & Contact with Others • Clinic environment with prolonged periods of standing, reaching, and repetitive movement. May involve bending, kneeling, or lifting up to 25 lbs. to support treatment preparation. Exposure to clinical products is expected. Schedule may require work in excess of standard hours, including evenings and weekends, to meet business needs. Must be comfortable working in both traditional and holistic medical environments, supporting integrative care models., • Internally with clinic staff and various Moda departments. Externally with patients, clients, vendors, and product representatives.
