About the Role As a Warehouse/Tool Room Assistant, you will support field and operations teams by ensuring tools, materials, equipment, and fleet assets are accurately tracked, safely handled, and readily available. This role partners closely with the Warehouse Manager to maintain organized warehouse operations, manage tool-tracking systems, coordinate rentals and repairs, and support fleet administration. Success in this role requires strong attention to detail, comfort with systems and data, and a service-oriented mindset. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: • Receive, inspect, document, label, and properly store incoming materials and tools; verify packing slips, note damage or discrepancies, and ensure accurate entry into tracking systems. Mark tools and equipment with Cochran branding as required., • Maintain accurate warehouse and inventory records for all items received, stored, issued, delivered, or returned. Coordinate vendor returns and manage outbound shipments (UPS, FedEx, etc.), including labeling, pickup scheduling, and shipment tracking., • Administer tool-tracking software by managing user accounts, training users, troubleshooting issues, and maintaining accurate tool, location, and inventory data in coordination with the Business Intelligence Manager; support users across multiple locations., • Coordinate equipment rentals, including purchase orders, delivery and pickup, breakdowns, billing discrepancies, and vendor relationships to ensure competitive pricing and freight costs., • Verify, input, and reconcile invoices related to tools, equipment, rentals, vehicles, and repairs; research and apply applicable rebates., • Coordinate testing, calibration, and repair of tools and equipment with field employees and vendors., • Support fleet operations by maintaining vehicle packets, ordering gas cards, updating databases, conducting random inspections, and delivering or picking up vehicles for service as needed., • Operate forklifts and material-handling equipment safely to load, unload, stage, and store materials while maintaining clear aisles, accurate labeling, and an organized warehouse environment., • Maintain a digitized filing system for all tool, equipment, and fleet documentation. We are looking for someone with the following competencies: • High School Diploma or GED required. One to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred., • Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail and data accuracy, • Ability to read, interpret, and follow written, verbal, and diagram-based instructions; perform basic math calculations; and communicate clearly through routine written documentation., • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook) and the ability to learn inventory and tracking software.
