The Schnitzer School of Art + Art History + Design offers bachelor and graduate programs that allow students to explore how artists and their works function within a larger social context. With 1,300 undergraduate majors, a vibrant dual‑focus graduate program, and a dedicated faculty of artists, designers and scholars, the school is a place where students from a variety of backgrounds interact, exchange ideas and push conventional aesthetic boundaries. The program offers a BFA in Art Practice, a BFA in Graphic Design, and BA/BS options in Art History, Art & Design, and Cultural History of the Arts. Core courses include I DE, D IT, and V LU, with studio and toolbox courses such as Surface, Space, Time, Ideation, Digital Tools, and Visual Literacy. Art Practice and Art in Art & Design, • Prior college‑level teaching experience. Graphic Design and Design in Art & Design, • MFA in Graphic Design or a closely related field., • Prior college‑level teaching experience. CORE, • Prior college‑level teaching experience., • Active creative practice, including studio work, performance, and contextual and social practice.
