Job Description Our Mission: Bishop Lifting Products, Inc. is the most trusted name in the lifting world. Job Duties: Plan, layout, fabricate, assemble, weld, and inspect by performing the following duties: • Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, or product specifications to determine sequence and methods of fabricating lifting devices varying from small to very large assemblies, • Lay out and mark dimensions and reference lines on material to required specifications, • Set up and operate machines such as drill presses, torches, burn table, iron worker, automated saw, and other various machines used in metal fabrication, • Grinding and prepping of parts for fit up, • Welding of fit up assemblies using MIG welding (GMAW), • Produce a finished product that meets visual inspection, NTD inspection, and customer expectations by maintaining quality procedures, • Inspect assemblies and installation of material for conformance to specifications, • Layout workload and efficiently work through the day to ensure jobs stay on schedule, • Maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in an effective and courteous manner with customers, coworkers, clients, and supervisors, • Welding/Fabricating experience required (at least 3 years), • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs., • Must demonstrate welding ability and pass in house weld test, • Mechanical aptitude, • Reading & writing skills- including ability to read a tape measure, blueprints, drawings, and more., • Good analytical, conceptual and planning skills, • Math aptitude up to adding and subtracting fractions and basic multiplication, • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines without constant supervision, but must also be able to work effectively with a team, • High school diploma or equivalent required, • Must work in a safe manner following safety procedures, • Ability to stand and work in various positions for extended periods of time, • Must maintain and keep clean equipment and welding environment, • MIG Welding (at least 3 years preferred) Bishop Lifting Products, Inc. and it’s subsidiaries are an Affirmative Action and Equal Opportunity Employer.
