Job DescriptionSalary: DOE Job Summary: We are looking for a dedicated and customer-friendly Jr. Florist to join our team! The ideal candidate will have some experience in floral arrangements, sales, and deliveries. This role involves assisting with daily operations, including creating floral arrangements, helping customers select flowers and gifts, handling sales transactions, and ensuring timely deliveries. Key Responsibilities: • Assist florists in preparing floral arrangements for various occasions (e.g., weddings, birthdays, funerals)., • Provide excellent customer service by helping clients choose flowers, plants, and gift items., • Process sales transactions using a POS system and handle cash/card payments., • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the shop, including flower care and inventory management., • Arrange and wrap bouquets, gift baskets, and custom floral designs., • Deliver floral arrangements to customers and event locations in a timely and professional manner., • Load and unload floral supplies and products safely for transportation., • Assist with restocking flowers and supplies, checking for quality and freshness., • Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure proper handling and storage of flowers., • Manage all social media and website content, including daily "Designer's choice" floral arrangement posts, and promotion of upcoming sales, holiday specials, and seasonal campaigns to boost engagement and drive traffic., • Develop and maintain a consistent posting schedule across all social media platforms to ensure steady visibility and brand presence., • Collaborate with the floral design team to capture and post high-quality photos and videos of new arrangements, ship displays, and behind-the-scenes content., • Create engaging captions and hashtags that reflect the brand's tone and attract audience interaction., • Monitor social media interactions - respond to comments, messages, and reviews in a timely and professional manner., • Stay up to date on social media trends and recommend creative strategies to increase followers, reach and sales, • Previous experience in floral arrangement or working in a flower shop is preferred., • Sales or retail experience with a strong focus on customer service., • Experience with deliveries and a valid drivers license (if required for deliveries)., • Ability to handle flowers with care and work with various floral tools., • Strong communication and organizational skills., • Comfortable standing for long hours and lifting light to moderate loads., • A passion for flowers, creativity, and attention to detail., • Knowledge of different flower types and their care., • Experience with event floral setup and breakdown., • Familiarity with POS systems and basic cash handling. Job Description POSITION DESCRIPTION Position: Customer Service Representative Department: Catholic Cemeteries Reports To: Office Manager and/or Superintendent Classification: Non-Exempt General Description Catholic Cemeteries of the Archdiocese of Newark operates 11 Catholic cemeteries in 5 counties and is the recipient of several prestigious awards. Over 1 million are interred in our cemeteries. The Customer Service Representative is responsible to perform assigned duties and functions for the cemetery office, assist our Catholic families, the public, funeral directors and vendors with their needs as they relate to Catholic Cemeteries’ office. Performs assigned duties and functions for the Cemetery consistent with the Mission, Vision and Values of the Catholic Church. The Customer Service Representative shall be open to work at any of Catholic Cemeteries locations in northern New Jersey region as needed. Specific Duties/Responsibilities The following specific responsibilities are representative of the duties required in this position. They may be unilaterally but reasonably changed based on the working environment and departmental needs. • Answer telephones and direct call to appropriate level, or respond to call inquiries when possible, • Assist our Catholic families with the step by step process for interment, • Process and follow-up of incoming funeral orders from funeral directors in adherence to existing policy and procedures, • Scan and process interments into prescribed cemetery Enterprise computer software system, • Process monument paperwork, i.e., permits, size, location, • Process memorialization paperwork, i.e. lettering, emblems and floral and import photos, • Provide superintendent with requested reporting regarding any and all cemetery tracking data and information, • Maintain office filing, create Mass Remembrance booklet, create candle labels, create all work orders, etc., • Process work orders as it relates to gravesites/crypts and general property, • Process yearly vendor permits and insurance coverage’s for same, • Provide excellent customer service to our Catholic families as it pertains to inquiring about grave/crypt locations or problems, direction to site, genealogy, emails, etc., • Process daily bank deposits through mechanized recording system and banking website., • Input data for record keeping of all interments/entombments, • Assist the Superintendent with the processing of invoices and accounts payable, • Assist in month-end close activities and reconciliations as needed, • Other duties as assigned Qualifications/Skills • Superior communication skills with sensitivity to the needs of our Catholic families., • Strong attention to detail, • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask, • Solid background in computer skills a must. i.e. Word, Excel and Microsoft Office Education and/or Experience (Preferred) • College degree or 5 years of equivalent experience required, • Strong computer skills with competency in Microsoft Excel and Word, • Office 365 knowledge a plus Physical Demands The physical demands are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job in a normal office environment.
