Job Description About the Role: As a Delivery Driver for ShopRite of Uniondale, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our customers receive their groceries and other products in a timely and efficient manner. Your primary responsibility will be to transport goods from our store to customers' homes, providing a high level of customer service throughout the delivery process. You will be expected to navigate various routes, manage delivery schedules, and handle any customer inquiries or concerns with professionalism. This position is vital in maintaining customer satisfaction and loyalty, as you will be the face of our store during each delivery. Ultimately, your efforts will contribute to the overall success of our operations and the happiness of our customers. Minimum Qualifications: • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record., • High school diploma or equivalent., • Previous experience in a delivery or customer service role., • Familiarity with the local area and efficient route planning., • Safely operate a delivery vehicle to transport groceries and other products to customers' homes., • Load and unload products from the vehicle, ensuring that items are handled with care., • Communicate effectively with customers regarding delivery times and any potential delays., • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including customer signatures and payment transactions. The required skills for this position include strong driving abilities and a commitment to safety, which are essential for navigating various routes and ensuring the safe delivery of products. Excellent communication skills are necessary to interact with customers, address their needs, and provide updates on delivery status. Time management skills will be utilized daily to ensure that deliveries are made on schedule, enhancing customer satisfaction. Additionally, physical stamina is important for loading and unloading products, as well as for managing the demands of the job. Preferred skills, such as familiarity with the local area, will aid in optimizing delivery routes and improving efficiency.

Processes orders for material or merchandise received by telephone, email and fax. Demonstrating drive and enthusiasm while handling customer orders, questions, and complaints and billing inquiries. WORK SCHEDULE: • Full time, • 10am - 6pm, • Sunday + weekday, • Must be able to work every Saturday BENEFITS • $18 -$19 per hour, • $1,000 Sign -on bonus, • Medical, Dental, Vision, • 401K with employer contributions and options for traditional or ROTH employee contributions, • Life Insurance, • Vacation, Holidays and Safe and Sick Leave, • Opportunities for growth and cross- training in other departments SKILLS AND ABILITIES • Organize, prioritize and coordinate multiple tasks, • Able to perform 200 inbound and outbound calls per day, • Answer telephones and transmit messages, • Provide accurate information, • Perform quality work within deadlines with or without direct supervision, • Computer literate, • Classify and organize Reports and Tickets, • Arrange items in alphanumeric or subject order, • Speak clearly, • Work independently, • Plan, schedule and organize work, • Maintain a positive work environment, • Ensure the quality of work as measured against established standards, • Maintain confidentiality, • Answers inbound calls for Order delivery, responds to questions, • Perform Outbound calls to customers, • Communicates with customers, • Keys orders via numeric, • Process Special Delivery orders, • Processes all Fax orders, • Completes Driver Notes, • Process late orders, Credit and Complaint forms, • Researches and compiles information, • Attends meetings and serves on temporary committees, as requested, • Ensures office equipment is in working order, • Attends assigned training sessions, • Performs additional duties and assignments, as requested Requirements QUALIFICATIONS • Bilingual in Spanish Required, • 1+ years working in a goal focused, high volume, customer service oriented environment (ex: call center, office) Will train candidates with less than 1 year of experience., • Strong working knowledge of MS Office, • Ability to navigate through several systems/applications simultaneously, • Display a positive attitude, • Reliable attendance, • Ability to work weekends- weekends are a must, • Professional written and oral communication skills, • Demonstrated ability to achieve goals, • Bilingual in English and Spanish Company DescriptionWe are one of the largest family owned food distributors in the tri-state area.
