Job Description JOB DEFINITION: The Registered Nurse is responsible for providing short-term acute care to individuals presenting to the Intensive Crisis Stabilization Center with a mental health/substance use crisis. The RN assesses clients, administers medications, manages psychiatric and medical needs, and supports crisis stabilization through trauma-informed, patient centered care. The RN will work with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safety, promote recovery, and assist with treatment planning and discharge coordination. EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be currently licensed as a Registered Nurse by the New York State Department of Education and possess either an Associate's Degree (if awarded prior to December 18, 2017), Bachelor's Degree and/or Master's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program*. Bachelor's or Master's Degree preferred. EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: • One (1) year of community mental health experience and/or at least two (2) years of mental health experience specifically working in a mental health setting., • Previous experience working with children and adolescents in a professional setting is highly preferred. Job Description JOB DEFINITION: Charged with the oversight of the day-to-day appointments and functioning of the exam rooms on the RV and Box Truck, providing support operations to the prescriber in accordance with all regulatory and governing agencies. EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: • A certificate or associate's degree in medical assisting required., • Phlebotomy Certificate, • High School diploma or equivalent required. EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Proficient in clinical skills, creating a safe and effective environment, health promotion and maintenance, procedural skills, documentation skills, strong verbal and written communication, inventory control, planning, dependability, and medical teamwork. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Manage the day-to-day appointments and functioning of the exam rooms to ensure a safe, secure and healthy work environment in conformance with program objectives, agency policies and procedures, and compliance with regulatory funding, governing bodies and legal regulations., • Maintain patient confidence and protect operations by keeping patient care information confidential in accordance to HIPAA and other governing bodies., • Oversee functioning and maintenance of the exam rooms which impact on the quality and productivity of the program., • Responsible preparing clients for their visit as needed., • Responsible for confirming purpose of the appointment, completing vital signs, obtaining patient history, ensuring files are up to date and accurate in the E.H.R., completing Brief Medical Screening, preparing medical charts etc. Responsible for providing information, instructions and answering questions in accordance to prescriber education for the patient., • Support patient care delivery by helping health care providers by carrying out and tracking the authorization of drug refills as directed; telephoning prescriptions to pharmacies; managing lab work and follow up for results; assisting to complete drug tests (including supervised drug tests when clinically indicated) and ensure processing, with follow up to receive results., • Responsible for administrative duties including but not limited to confirming appointments, completing and following up on prior authorizations, managing supply stock and placing orders as needed, following up on lab work results for clients and implementing tracking systems as needed., • Responsible for updating the patient chart in the EHR, i.e., recording patient's exam, test results, treatment etc., • Facilitate sharing of data with the individuals to whom it applies to facilitate partnered decision-making and to keep clients informed of progress, • Complete QI Training during onboarding and participate in QI refresher training as needed., • Ability to cultivate a culture of inclusion for all employees that respects their individual strengths, views and experiences.
