Job DescriptionDescription: Job Title: Immigration Paralegal Job Type: Full-time Location: Forest Hills, Queens NY Responsibilities Work shoulder-to-shoulder with a retired U.S. Immigration Judge and gain invaluable, hands-on experience in all aspects of immigration law. In this role, you’ll be directly involved in high-impact cases, learning strategies and insights you won’t find in textbooks or training programs. Key Responsibilities: • Assist the retired Judge and attorneys in the preparation, filing, and tracking of immigration petitions, applications, motions, and other legal documents before EOIR (immigration courts) and USCIS., • Draft and organize filings for removal defense, asylum, adjustment of status, waivers, appeals, and humanitarian cases., • Conduct legal research and stay current on immigration laws, regulations, and procedural changes., • Prepare and compile supporting evidence, exhibits, and case packets for hearings and interviews., • Communicate with clients to gather information, provide updates, and answer case-related questions., • Maintain accurate, organized client files in both digital and physical formats., • Draft legal correspondence, pleadings, and forms, ensuring accuracy and compliance with immigration requirements., • Schedule client appointments, court hearings, and interviews with immigration agencies., • Monitor and track deadlines to ensure timely submissions., • Assist in preparing clients for interviews and hearings., • Collaborate closely with the legal team to develop case strategies and achieve the best possible outcomes. Requirements:Qualifications • Minimum 2 years of immigration paralegal experience, with a strong focus on EOIR and USCIS practice., • Thorough knowledge of U.S. immigration laws, procedures, and standard forms., • Proficiency in legal research, drafting, and evidence organization., • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines., • Strong written and verbal communication skills., • Proficiency with immigration case management software and Microsoft Office Suite., • Bilingual (Spanish/English, Russian/English, etc.) strongly preferred., • Ability to work independently while thriving in a collaborative team environment., • High-level organizational and time-management skills.
