We are actively seeking Construction Management Field Project Manager with 5-7 years of Project Management experience to join our highly-experienced team. We are looking for candidates to work at assigned job sites primarily located on Long Island. Our CM projects include Public projects in Schools, Libraries, Fire Districts. Candidates must be experienced, dedicated, focused and, 100% committed to the delivery of complex multi-year, multi-location projects. To learn more about us, visit our website – While working directly with the responsible project manager or Executive, a Field Project Manger oversees the day-to-day coordination of project delivery as the on-site representative of the construction manager and primarily work from the on-site trailer. Primary Responsibilities • Carefully review drawings and specifications to ensure a deep understanding of the projects, • Assist project manager in the development of initial project schedule, • Secure all government agency permits/approvals as required, • Prepare and work with project admin staff to create award recommendation letters, • Ensure all contractors entering the site have complied with the insurance requirements, • Confirm creation of a submission list along with a pro-active action for long lead-time items, • Oversee the delivery and securing of materials and ensure compliance with the specifications, • Proactively prepare for upcoming stages and management meetings, eliminating surprises, • Co-chair periodic project meetings and produce the meeting minutes for review and approval by the project manager, • Collaborate closely with the prime and subcontractors and the owner's site representatives, creating the environment for the smooth implementation of the plan, including pro-active monitoring and response to the challenges that arise on all projects, • Maintain general conditions of the worksite, ensuring safe storage of materials, proper designation of the work areas, secure access, and safe working environment for all, • Review the quality systems for effectiveness, efficiency, capability, and compliance, • Review “pencil copy” requisitions with the Project Manager, Architect, and Office support team, • Review and approve along with the project Architect proposed change orders (PCO's), • Maintain accurate daily logs and field observation reports, • Take daily progress photos and report any deviations from the plans to the appropriate contractor for resolution, • Must have 5-7 years’ experience as a hands-on construction project manager working in the field, with project values of $10 to 25 million dollars. We are not seeking assistant project managers who work from an office., • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or Project Management preferred. In-lieu of a degree, ten years of highly related work experience is acceptable, • Excellent verbal and written skills along with strong interpersonal skills. Strong writing skills are essential., • Independent starter who is a team player and professionally represents the company every day, • Thorough knowledge of construction cost, estimating, scheduling, and purchasing, • Highly capable of reading, understanding, and interpreting architect and engineering drawings, specifications, and plans, • Collaborate closely with the prime contractors, owner representatives and the project manager creating the environment for the smooth implementation of the program, including pro-active monitoring and response to the challenges that arise, • Experience with Procore is a plus., • Knowledge of other tools, Primavera, PlanGrid, Submittal Exchange, is helpful, • Experience with public funded projects a plus, • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite, • OSHA 30 card preferred, • Must have own transportation and be willing to travel to projects sites across Long Island Company DescriptionPark East Construction is a 37-year-old Construction Management and General Contracting company with over $5 billion dollars of portfolio experience. Job Description Why are you interested? This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious, experienced property damage consultant to join our Long Island office in Wantagh, New York. Founded in 2002, the DBI team specializes in the evaluation of damaged structures. DBI’s construction experts provide independent recommendations and analysis to clients in the insurance and legal industries. In a complex industry, the company’s mission is to bring clarity to every client served by DBI through hard evidence, expertise, and accuracy. What is the role? The Project Manager II is responsible for ensuring the timely and costly completion of building consulting projects by overseeing all phases. The Project Manager II will accurately evaluate damaged structures and compile a scope of repair, as well as cost projections. The position will be based out of our Long Island office, with a starting salary range of $90,000-$140,000 plus semi-annual bonus potential and benefits package. PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Project Manager • Develop detailed budgets, estimates, and proposals across lump sum, unit rate, and cost-plus formats, • Manage project timelines, schedules, and resource allocation to meet delivery commitments, • Organize project teams and maintain effective relationships with staff, consultants, and clients, • Identify risk exposures and resolve complex technical issues as they arise, • Enforce department standards for deliverables, budget tracking, and project documentation, • Ensure the flow of project information is maintained and documented, • Perform all other duties as assigned DBI • Consistently demonstrate professionalism, integrity and the highest standards of ethical behavior, • Conducts daily work and interactions in a way that aligns with the organization’s values, • Maintain the confidentiality of proprietary and sensitive information, exercising sound judgment and discretion, • Commit to continuous improvement and professional development for self and team members REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering or related field preferred, • Minimum Five (5) years of experience within construction, restoration, and/or property insurance related fields, • Ability to travel and build comradery with a response team. Willingness to travel +/- 25% of the workweek, • Desire to work in a fast-paced, in-person environment., • Experience working with Xactimate, RS Means, Bluebeam Revu, Primavera and MS Projects preferred, • Possess a valid driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record SKILLS AND ABILITIES • Motivated, detail oriented, and ready to take on challenges, • Strong verbal and written communication skills, • Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel, • Ability to observe issues and suggest innovative solutions, • Self-directed with the ability to be an effective team leader and maintain a professional demeanor, • Proven organizational skills with exemplary time management, • Technically astute and strong problem-solving skills, • Ability to work in inclement weather and various environmental conditions WORKING CONDITIONS: Our business requires work to be performed at the site of the property damage, including locations where disasters or catastrophes have previously occurred. This team member may be required to work in elevated areas such as roofs or scaffolding, requiring physical agility, and balance. During busy periods, this may require evening, overnight, and/or weekend travel and work. Our teams are provided with safety gear and PPE as they may be subject to, but not limited to: outdoor extreme heat, cold, and precipitation; indoor noise, vibrations, proximity to moving mechanical parts, electrical current, chemicals, fumes, odors, dusts, mists, gases, or poor ventilation. This team member may be required to work in close quarters, crawl spaces, small enclosed rooms, narrow aisles, passageways, or other enclosed areas, requiring physical agility and resistance to claustrophobia.
