Job Duties and Responsibilities: The main responsibility of the Kitchen Sales Department associate is to provide the highest level of customer experience through exceptional service. Establish and maintain a safe and clean environment that encourages our customers to return. Monitor and control all buffet stands to ensure quality assurance standards. • Create an environment that enables customers to feel welcome, important and appreciated by answering questions regarding products sold within the department and throughout the store, • Gain and maintain knowledge of products sold within the department and be able to respond to questions and make suggestions about products, • Inform customers on ingredients in each recipe, • Provide customers with fresh products that they have ordered and the correct portion size (or as close as, • Check product quality to ensure freshness, • Label, stock and inventory department merchandise, • Display a positive attitude, • Understand the store's layout and be able to locate products when requested by customer, • Maintain an awareness of inventory/stocking conditions note any discrepancies in inventory, • Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines, • Ensure proper temperatures in cases and coolers are maintained, • Reinforce safety programs by complying with safety procedures and identify unsafe conditions and notify store management, • Notify management of customer or employee accidents, • Report all safety risks or issues and illegal activity, including: robbery, theft or fraud to store management, • Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation, • Ensure that all garbage cans in the department have tightly closed lids on top of them at all times; it is a MUST that gloves get changed after each garbage disposal Preferred Qualifications: • Ability to deliver friendly, courteous, prompt customer service, • 18 years or older, • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, • Ability to read, write and do simple math problems, • Ability to interpret, understand and follow instructions and solve problems, • Able to work well with others as a team member, • A passion for serving people
