Job DescriptionJamaica, Queens, NY Position Overview We are seeking a compassionate, motivated, and clinically skilled Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our growing primary care practice on a full-time or part-time basis. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive outpatient care to adult and/or pediatric patients while collaborating with physicians and clinical staff to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care. This position is ideal for a provider who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and values preventative medicine, chronic disease management, and continuity of care. ResponsibilitiesClinical Duties • Perform comprehensive patient evaluations, physical examinations, and medical histories, • Diagnose and treat acute and chronic medical conditions, • Develop and implement treatment plans, • Order, interpret, and review laboratory and diagnostic testing, • Prescribe medications and therapies in accordance with New York State regulations, • Provide preventative care, wellness visits, and patient education, • Manage chronic conditions including:, • Hypertension, • Type 2 Diabetes, • Obesity, • Hyperlipidemia, • Perform documentation accurately and efficiently within EMR/EHR systemsAdministrative & Team Collaboration, • Collaborate with physicians, medical assistants, and administrative staff to ensure smooth patient flow, • Maintain timely chart completion and documentation compliance, • Participate in quality improvement and patient satisfaction initiatives, • Assist with medication prior authorizations and care coordination when neededQualificationsEducation & Licensure, • Masters or Doctorate degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program, • Active New York State Nurse Practitioner license, • Board certification as:, • Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), or, • Adult-Gerontology Primary Care NP (AGPCNP), • Active DEA registration (or eligibility)Experience, • Minimum 1 year Primary care experience preferred (new graduates may be considered depending on training and background), • Experience with outpatient EMR/EHR systems, • Strong communication and patient education skills, • Bilingual candidates encouraged to apply (Spanish, Portuguese, etc.)Preferred Skills, • Experience with:, • Annual wellness visits, • Weight management, • Preventative medicine, • Womens health, • Mens health, • Ability to work independently while collaborating with supervising physicians, • Strong organizational and multitasking abilitiesSchedule OptionsFull-Time, • 45 days per week, • Benefits eligiblePart-Time, • Flexible scheduling available, • Evening and weekend availability is a plusCompensation & Benefits, • Competitive compensation based on experience, • Performance bonus opportunities, • Paid time off (full-time), • CME allowance (if applicable), • Supportive and collaborative work environmentWhy Join Us, • Physician-owned practice with streamlined operations, • Growing patient base in a diverse Queens community, • Opportunity to build long-term patient relationships, • Supportive clinical and administrative team, • Modern, patient-focused environment
