Job Description Consilio’s Direct Hire Division is seeking a Litigation Legal Assistant in Delaware for an AmLaw Firm Essential Functions & Responsibilities • Prepare pleadings and assemble deposition and hearing binders., • Coordinate all logistics for trial teams before, during, and after trial., • Utilize File & ServeXpress, CM/ECF, and PACER proficiently., • File and serve pleadings and discovery in state and federal courts., • Review, edit, and prepare monthly bills and transmit to clients., • Create and edit complex documents, including correspondence, memos, spreadsheets, and presentations., • Proofread and redline documents for spelling, grammar, formatting, and layout., • Maintain and update client and internal files, including organizing documents in the firm’s document management system and retrieving information as needed., • Open and review incoming mail and notify legal personnel of deadline‐sensitive items., • Draft written responses or respond via phone/email when appropriate., • Reconcile and submit attorney expenses., • Manage attorney calendars; schedule in‐person and virtual meetings; coordinate conferences, travel arrangements, hospitality needs, and restaurant bookings., • Manage incoming and outgoing communications (phone, email, fax), route messages appropriately, and respond to inquiries., • Maintain attorney contacts, including updating the firm’s CRM system and mailing lists., • Process client matter intake forms, answer attorney questions, and troubleshoot issues., • Make photocopies and scan documents as needed., • Perform additional administrative tasks such as time entry, bill review, managing electronic signatures, maintaining credentials, conducting basic research, tracking CLE hours, and learning additional software as required. Education & Experience • High School Diploma or GED required., • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a litigation legal administrative assistant in Delaware., • E‐filing experience at the local, state, and federal levels., • Experience with document management, time and billing, and client matter intake systems. Knowledge & Skills • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)., • Typing speed of 60+ wpm., • Strong written and verbal communication skills, professionalism, initiative, dependability, and a positive attitude., • Excellent client service skills., • Ability to meet deadlines, multitask, and manage high‐volume work in a fast‐paced environment with strong attention to detail., • Comprehensive understanding of Delaware court systems, including filing procedures, deadlines, and local rules for Chancery Court, Superior Court, JP Court, AAA, and the District of Delaware., • Proficiency in Word, including Styles, Best Authority, and formatting Tables of Authorities and Tables of Contents., • Proficiency in File & ServeXpress, CM/ECF, and PACER. Compensation is based on experience, skills, education, market data, internal equity, and other job‐related factors.
