What You'll Do: Securities Team This paralegal will support attorneys in securities-related arbitration, mediation, and court case matters. This is a 35-hour work week position, Monday through Friday, though some overtime may be required as business needs arise. Essential Duties • Gather and analyze documents., • Prepare documents for production., • Prepare Orders of Production and/or Subpoenas to third parties., • Perform legal research., • Interact with firm personnel, outside counsel, external vendors, and clients., • Organize case files and documents., • Prepare standard form responses., • Assist with trial preparation., • Create and maintain spreadsheets and databases., • Support other projects as needed. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Education • Litigation experience at a law firm as a paralegal is required., • Experience with securities litigation is preferred., • Excellent written and oral communication skills., • Strong analytical skills., • Familiarity with internet and Lexis legal research., • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint., • A minimum of a 4-year college degree or relevant work experience equivalent., • Self-starter who is comfortable managing multiple tasks.
