UNIQUE THERAPIST REQUIREMENTS • Therapists must complete the minimum Rape Crisis Center’s 40-hour Sexual Assault Training Program, and the Domestic VIolence Training Program., • Counselors must stay current with continuing education, licensing, and insurance requirements., • Attend Supervision weekly and other meetings as directed., • Participate in fundraising events as needed and directed., • Maintain the library of research-based materials to use in training and/or presentation development including books and DVDs., • Assist in the development and/or delivery of volunteer, staff and other in-house trainings as directed., • Therapists must answer the Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Hotlines respond to acute sexual assault victims in hospitals emergency departments., • Educate all victims and their non-offending family members of their rights, eligibility for services and/or crime victim compensation and on the criminal justice or family process., • Attend specialized trainings to become sensitive to the needs of rape, sexual assault, domestic violence, and human trafficking victims., • Maintain detailed and organized therapy files (electronic and hard copy) in accordance with policy and procedures manual and submit to random audits to ensure quality control.
