This role is based in a family-centered pediatric therapy clinic dedicated to helping children build independence, confidence, and meaningful life skills through collaborative, evidence-informed care. This position is ideal for clinicians who are passionate about pediatric therapy, play-based intervention, and working closely with families and interdisciplinary teams. You will support children with diverse speech, language, and communication needs while contributing to a supportive, neurodiversity-affirming clinical environment. Key Responsibilities Clinical Care Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations for pediatric clients Develop and implement individualized, goal-oriented treatment plans Provide direct therapy services for children with speech, language, and communication challenges Address feeding and swallowing needs when appropriate (dysphagia knowledge beneficial) Monitor progress and adjust treatment strategies to support functional outcomes Use play-based, evidence-informed therapeutic techniques Collaboration & Family Support Partner closely with families to support carryover of therapy goals at home Collaborate with educators, behavior specialists, occupational therapists, physical therapists, and ABA providers Contribute to individualized care plans that promote real-world skill development Support early childhood development, including participation in early learning programs Documentation & Compliance Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation and progress reports Track client outcomes and support data-driven care decisions Follow clinic policies, ethical guidelines, and professional standards Required Qualifications Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) Active New Jersey SLP license Strong knowledge of speech, language, and communication disorders Excellent interpersonal, collaboration, and documentation skills Preferred Experience Pediatric speech therapy experience Experience with early intervention or preschool-aged children (ages 2–6) Familiarity with play-based and neurodiversity-affirming therapy approaches Knowledge of dysphagia assessment and intervention Experience collaborating with schools and community providers Work Schedule Full-time position On-site role in Scotch Plains, NJ No relocation assistance provided Non-local candidates not eligible Compensation & Benefits Salary Range: $80,000 – $90,000 annually Salaried and hourly compensation options may be available Paid Time Off (PTO) Benefits package 401(k) retirement plan Permanent, stable placement opportunity Why Join This Team Work in a warm, family-centered pediatric therapy environment Make a meaningful impact on children’s communication and developmental milestones Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team using a holistic care approach Practice in a setting that values neurodiversity and play-based learning Join a growing clinic committed to empowering children and families through compassionate, high-quality care Nortek Medical Staffing, Inc.
