Follows appropriate guidelines for investigation of discrepancies.  Reviews medication administration records for completeness of information, accuracy in the ECP of the physician's order, and adherence to stop order policies. Reports any discrepancy to the RN.  Disposes of drug and controlled substances as required, and in accordance with established procedures.  Monitors residents ,reports to the RN and take appropriate action as instructed by the RN and MD for side effects and adverse reactions to medications.  Adheres at all infection control policy and procedures.  Administers and documents all treatments as ordered and in accordance with policies and procedures.  Maintains accurate resident care records and document pertinent data reflecting the use of the nursing process, the care provided and resident response to care. Previous experience in a hospital, assisted living, skilled nursing care or other related medical community required. Working Conditions: Moves intermittently during working hours and subject to frequent interruptions. May be subject to hostile and emotionally upset residents, family members, personnel and visitors. Must be able to cope with mental and emotional stress of the position.
