We are seeking an experienced Associate Director of Nursing (ADON) to provide frontline leadership within Medical/Surgical units. This role is responsible for supporting nursing operations, enhancing patient care quality, and driving staff performance. The ADON will collaborate closely with nurse managers to monitor unit performance, implement improvement initiatives, and ensure compliance with clinical and regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities • Provide leadership and oversight for one or more Medical/Surgical units under the direction of nursing leadership, • Plan, develop, and implement programs to improve patient care quality and staff performance, • Monitor patient care delivery and unit performance, identifying areas for improvement, • Collaborate with nurse managers to assess unit operations and implement corrective actions as needed, • Support staff development, coaching, and performance management initiatives, • Develop and maintain systems for tracking and addressing medication errors and related quality concerns, • Ensure compliance with organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and patient safety standards, • Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement Qualifications • Active Registered Nurse (RN) License (Required), • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited program (Required); Master’s Degree in Nursing (Preferred), • Minimum 7 years of nursing experience, including at least 5 years in a supervisory or leadership role, experience in Med/Surg department, • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification (Required), • Strong leadership, organizational, and decision-making skills, • Excellent communication and team collaboration abilities, • Proven ability to drive quality improvement and manage staff performance in a clinical setting Important Details: • 8-week contract position (extensions available), • Shift is 7.5 hrs/day (7:30 AM - 4 PM), 37.5 hrs/week, • Location is New York, NY 10037, • Pay Range for Locals: $80 - $85 per hour, • Pay Range for Travelers: $3,550 - $3,600 per week Call to Action: • Spots Are Filling Quickly — Apply Now!
