    Harlem Shake is looking for an experienced, dependable, and hands-on Assistant Manager to support daily restaurant operations at our Harlem location. The Assistant Manager works closely with the Store Manager to lead the team, maintain strong operational standards, and provide an excellent guest experience. This is an active floor-management position that requires someone who can coach employees, solve problems, maintain accountability, and step into any area of the restaurant when needed. JOB DESCRIPTION Summary/ Objective East Side House (ESH) provides high-quality, year-round programming in NYCHA community centers and public schools, serving youth and families through education, workforce readiness, recreation, and community engagement. Reporting to the Senior and/or Department Director, the Program Director oversees the development, implementation, and supervision of Early Childhood Education & Elementary Division. This includes daily operations, staff management, compliance, and creating safe, inclusive, and responsive environments that promote positive outcomes. As a member of the Early Childhood Education & Elementary Division, the Program Director is expected to lead dynamic, age-appropriate programming for Elementary age participants and community members. Responsibilities and Working Conditions: • Provide an efficient and safe delivery of boxes to our depots within the NJ area, • Operates a refrigerated truck and also operates a hand truck to assist when making deliveries, • Deliver orders to the appropriate destination within a scheduled time, • Provide professional customer service, • Provide timely reporting to supervisors and assigned dispatchers regarding lateness, damaged or missing products, • Must be able to lift 50 pounds., • In a workday: standing/walking 6-10 hours or more, • Hand use: single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling, • Work requires the following motions: bending, twisting, squatting and reaching, • Exposure to FDA approved cleaning chemicals, loud noises, flashing lights, • Constant exposure to temperatures: <-10 degrees Fahrenheit (freezing), 32-40 degrees Fahrenheit (refrigerators), • Ability to work in a wet and cold environment, • Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed, • Ability to use tools and equipment, including box cutters, electric pallet jacks, and other heavy machinery, • Ability to work in other areas of the business as needed Qualifications: • Must embody and demonstrate company values and culture, • A minimum of 2 years of RECENT commercial truck driving experience, • No degree required, • Ability to clearly communicate and read in English, • Must be able to work weekends (Saturday & Sunday) and Holidays, • Must be able to work a flexible shift (mornings and/or evenings), • Ability to complete all basic and recurring training, • Must be able to deliver orders up to 50 lbs in weight to the appropriate destination within a scheduled time [this may include walking up or down several flights of stairs], • Must be comfortable interacting with customers, • Must have a strong commitment to customer service and safe, • Comfort /familiarity with basic smartphone operations, • Ability to utilize smartphones for two-way communication with our Operations Team, • Must embody and demonstrate company values and culture, • 21 years of age or older, • Must have a valid NY, NJ, CT driver license, • Ability to prioritize and make decisions independently, • Ability to navigate a route successfully & independently, • 3 points or less on a motor vehicle report, • No suspensions within the past 12 months and no more than 1 suspension in the past 3 years, • No more than 1 accident in the past three years, • Cannot have more than 3 moving violations within the past 3 years Why Join FreshDirect? · Time to Recharge: Enjoy generous Paid Time Off, Safe & Sick Leave, and Paid Holidays so you can rest, reset, and spend time on what matters most. · Comprehensive Health Coverage: We’ve got you covered with medical, vision, dental, and voluntary disability benefits designed to support you and your family’s well-being. · Future-Ready Finances: Build your future with our 401(k) plan and gain peace of mind with life insurance benefits. · Workplace You’ll Love: Our modern Bronx campus features a state-of-the-art facility, a full gym, an inviting cafeteria, and an employee market.
