Consumer Packaging Buyer Industry: Food, Personal Care, Pharmaceutical, or Large CPG About the Role We are seeking an experienced Consumer Packaging Buyer to manage sourcing and procurement of packaging materials across high-volume consumer products. This role is ideal for a buyer who has supported large-scale food, personal care, or pharmaceutical operations and is comfortable navigating complex supplier networks, cost negotiations, and ERP/procurement platforms. Key Responsibilities • Source, negotiate, and manage suppliers for rigid containers, flexible films, corrugate, and folding cartons, • Own end-to-end purchasing activities, including RFQs, pricing negotiations, contract management, and supplier performance, • Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Quality, R&D, and Supply Chain to support production and innovation needs, • Manage purchase orders, forecasts, and spend analysis using SAP, Ariba, Coupa, or similar procurement systems, • Drive cost savings initiatives while maintaining quality, service, and supply continuity, • Monitor market trends, raw material pricing, and supplier risk to proactively mitigate disruptions, • 3+ years of packaging procurement or buying experience within food, personal care, pharmaceutical, or large CPG environments, • Proven experience purchasing rigid packaging, flexible films, corrugate, and cartons, • Strong working knowledge of SAP, Ariba, Coupa, or comparable procurement tools, • Demonstrated negotiation skills with national and global packaging suppliers, • Strong analytical skills with the ability to manage spend, pricing, and supplier performance, • Experience supporting regulated environments (FDA, GMP, etc.), • Exposure to sustainability initiatives or packaging innovation projects, • Impactful role supporting well-known consumer brands, • Collaborative culture with strong cross-functional partnerships, • Opportunity to influence packaging strategy, cost optimization, and supplier relationships, • Competitive compensation, benefits, and growth potential
