MHS is hiring married couples to become flex houseparents. Flex houseparents are couples who reside in on-campus student homes, guiding and nurturing a group of approximately 8-12 students. Flex houseparents provide a consistent family-like structure for students and handle responsibilities such as driving, administering medication, budgeting, reporting, etc. When initially hired, flex houseparents cover different student homes before being assigned to one specific home. Essential Duties: Key duties of this position include, but are not limited to, the following: • Working closely with the Director and Assistant Director of Residential as well as other program leadership to ensure appropriate day-to-day operations of the residence and residential program overall, • Act as the primary point of contact for urgent program-related matters, maintaining open availability and responsiveness by phone or in person to support cottage needs at all times.
