About the role Ripple Fiber is seeking a highly skilled and driven Associate to join our Corporate Development team. This position is designed to be high growth the right candidate will be promoted quickly and will support senior leadership in building out and managing a corporate development team. This role is instrumental in supporting strategic initiatives including M&A, capital raising, strategic partnerships, and executive level analysis and reporting. The candidate will bring 5+ years of experience in investment banking, consulting, private equity, or corporate development. Experience with Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) or telecommunications is not required but preferred. A demonstrated, genuine interest in FTTH is a must-have. The candidate must have a strong command of financial modeling and commercial analysis. They should be comfortable working with multiple initiatives in various stages of maturity, have robust data analysis skills, and be proficient with corporate project management with senior, mid-management, and junior stakeholders. The candidate should be able to manage technical projects, commercial, and financial work streams across cross-functional teams. Most importantly, the ideal candidate must communicate effectively, in both written and verbal forms. Key Responsibilities: • Transaction Execution and Project Management:, • Support the end-to-end execution of M&A transactions and partnership deals, including sourcing, due diligence, financial analysis, and integration planning., • Actively manage an M&A and strategic initiative opportunity funnel, and continuously advance new deals/initiatives thought the funnel., • Develop and negotiate term sheets, LOIs, and other deal-related documents in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders., • Develop and present business cases and analysis to senior management., • Evaluate financing structures and assist in negotiating term sheets and definitive agreements with financing providers., • Project manage technical, legal, and financial workstreams from transaction inception through execution, through to asset and team integration into the Company., • Assist in the review and negotiation of contractual agreements, including acquisition agreements, JV and partnership agreements, and financing documents., • Coordinate with legal counsel and internal stakeholders to ensure appropriate risk mitigation and alignment with strategic objectives., • Track operational performance and provide support to acquired assets and teams to maximize performance., • Financial Modeling & Valuation:, • Build, maintain, and stress-test detailed financial models to support acquisitions, capital raises, and strategic planning., • Perform valuation analyses using discounted cash flows (DCFs), ability to pay (APP), precedent transactions, comparable company analyses, and accretion/dilution modeling., • Strategic Analysis & Reporting:, • Prepare executive-level presentations and board materials related to corporate strategy, business performance, and market opportunities., • Track performance of acquisitions and strategic initiatives, including ROI and synergy realization., • Operational Analytics:, • Analyze and interpret technical-financial datasets, including build cost data, take rates, network performance metrics, and financial KPIs., • Work with geospatial datasets and mapping tools (e.g., GIS platforms) to support market expansion and acquisition decisions., • Assess and incorporate right of way (ROW) requirements, permitting timelines, and other regulatory/license-related factors into business case analyses. Qualifications: • Bachelors degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Engineering, Mathematics, Sciences, or a related field; MBA, CPA, or CFA is advantageous., • 5 years of relevant experience in corporate development, investment banking, private equity, or consulting., • High proficiency with MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. Experience with financial modelling best practices., • Understanding of geospatial data analysis, network design implications, and municipal infrastructure constraints is preferred., • Familiarity with right-of-way (ROW) processes, utility pole licensing, permitting timelines, and infrastructure deployment challenges is preferred., • Exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication skills., • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, PE-backed environment with evolving priorities.
