The House of Relics is the center of the Burial experience in Charlotte showcasing a space that pays homage to the history of the property and its location in the historic Plaza Midwood neighborhood. Values We Practice • CONNECTIVITY - Celebrating the human experience through storytelling, personal relationships, and meaningful collaborations., • COURAGE - Empowering yourself and those around you to go beyond what you know and boldly innovate with the understanding that failure and discomfort are essential to continued growth, • INCLUSIVITY - Cultivating a safe, supportive and accessible environment of opportunities that honor, respect and uplift individual identities and experiences., • INTEGRITY - Setting and upholding a standard of quality for the processes we implement, the products we craft, the experiences we create and the values we embody What You’ll Do • Perform all opening, closing, and side-work duties as established by Taproom Manager, • Welcome and connect with customers, determine beverage preferences, make thoughtful recommendations, take food and drink orders while providing an outstanding experience with each transaction, • Be willing and able to perform multiple roles including bartending, to-go/merch room, and barbacking., • Collect, wash, and stock glassware as well as clean tables when vacated., • Stock all supplies as needed to ensure team preparedness and success., • Ensure cleanliness of the entire property by collecting trash and debris around the property, etc., • Process credit card transactions, ensuring all items are rang in correctly and charges are accurate., • Notify management of maintenance needs as soon as they arise & maintain monthly deep clean of equipment., • Provide event support., • Maintain working knowledge of craft beer and Burial Beer Co. beers and brand., • Perform miscellaneous tasks as directed by Taproom Managers while maintaining a positive attitude Requirements: What Success Looks Like • Creates a welcoming, engaging, and efficient guest experience by consistently upholding taproom service standards while maintaining cleanliness, organization, and readiness of all guest-facing and work areas., • Demonstrates strong knowledge of products, programming, and brand standards. Accurately pours draft beer according to internal guidelines and confidently assists guests with recommendations and product selections., • Reliably completes opening, closing, and side work duties; accurately processes POS transactions; and ensures all charges, inventory handling, and transaction procedures are completed correctly and responsibly., • Adheres to all alcohol service laws and company policies while maintaining responsible service practices., • Demonstrates flexibility by supporting multiple roles across the taproom, assisting with events as needed, navigating high-volume service with professionalism, and completing additional tasks as directed by Taproom Manager., • Proactively reports inventory and maintenance needs to support efficient service and operations., • Engages actively in team communication platforms, builds positive cross-departmental relationships, and communicates clearly and respectfully to support a collaborative, cohesive team culture across the venue and company., • Upholds Burial’s standards with honesty, accountability, and consistency., • Models professionalism in both work output and interpersonal interactions, reflecting the company’s core values daily. Who We’re Looking For • 3+ years experience bartending in the craft beverage industry, • 21 years of age or older, • Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays, • Positive, engaging personality and professional work ethic, • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, • Strong task and time management abilities, • Eye for detail and thorough understanding of craft beer, • Ability to stand, walk, bend, etc for extended period, and lift up to 50 lbs, • Basic math and computer skills, • Additional education, training, certificates, or experience may be required Physical Requirements • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time, • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull items weighing up to 50 pounds regularly, • Frequent bending, stooping, reaching, and kneeling throughout the shift., • Ability to navigate quickly and safely in crowded or confined spaces., • Comfortable working in varying environments, including warm or cold conditions, • Ability to perform repetitive motions The Details • Reports To: Taproom General Manager, • Compensation: Hourly + tips, • Employment Type: Part-Time, • Job Schedule: work schedule varies What We Offer Dental + Vision Insurance Accidental Injury Insurance Life Insurance YMCA Membership (company subsidized) Employee Discount Perks Employment Inclusion Policy Burial is an equal opportunity employer and makes employment decisions on the basis of merit.
