Position Summary The Director of Rehabilitation Services oversees all rehabilitation services to long-term care and subacute residents/patients in our 84-bed skilled nursing facility, The Pavilion. This includes Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Speech Therapy. As a member of the management team, the Director of Rehabilitation works closely with the Administrator, Director of Nursing, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality care, regulatory compliance, and the strategic growth of rehabilitation services in alignment with The Osborn’s mission. Key Responsibilities Clinical & Program Oversight • Coordinate and oversee the rehabilitation program to ensure high-quality resident/patient care and optimal reimbursement, • Provide consultation, evaluation, and physical therapy services in accordance with physician orders, regulations, and Osborn policies, • Participate in interdisciplinary care planning, discharge rounds, morning report, and assigned meetings, • Collaborate with the Physiatrist regarding specialized rehabilitation needs, • Develop and implement a Quality Assurance Performance Improvement (QAPI) program for rehab services Leadership & Department Management • Recruit, hire, train, and supervise rehabilitation staff and consultants, • Conduct weekly staff meetings and individual performance discussions, • Maintain rehabilitation policies, procedures, records, credentials, and contracts to ensure Department of Health compliance, • Foster collaboration with nursing and other departments to support resident-centered care Budget & Operational Management • Develop and manage the annual rehabilitation budget, • Ensure cost-effective operations through appropriate staffing and resource utilization, • Monitor and track Medicare and statistical data for cost accounting and reporting purposes Qualifications & Requirements • Licensed Physical Therapist in New York State (required), • Management or leadership experience in rehabilitation services (long-term care preferred), • Strong knowledge of long-term care regulations, nursing practices, and medical procedures, • Demonstrated leadership, supervisory, and organizational skills, • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, • Commitment to exemplary customer service and respect for older adults, • Ability to work collaboratively within a management team, • High level of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality Why Join the Osborn? • Competitive salary ($140K–$175K) based on experience, • Mission-driven, non-profit organization with a strong reputation, • Collaborative and supportive leadership culture, • Opportunity to shape and grow rehabilitation services, • Comprehensive benefits package, • Beautiful campus and engaged resident community
