Model professional behavior at all times., • Screen potential new employees for hire and train newly hired advocates., • Alternate on-call responsibilities with the Program Director on a biweekly basis., • Obtain coverage when unable to work scheduled shift., • Assist advocates working in the shelter to obtain coverage if they are unable to work a scheduled shift, as needed., • Arrive timely for all scheduled shifts, including during inclement weather., • All other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or related field, or the equivalent experience is required. A minimum of 2 years of experience working with homeless/at-risk population or related area preferred. Previous supervisory experience preferred. Knowledge of the Suffolk County Department of Social Services is preferred. Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office, is required. Knowledge of HMIS strongly preferred.
