About the Role The Tax Manager I and II are responsible for delivering high-quality, technically sound tax work across a diverse client base. This position is ideal for professionals who value precision, consistency, and meaningful work in a firm that prioritizes fairness and clarity over long hours and bureaucracy. The Tax Manager II will manage easy-complexity engagements including review, signing, and client relationship management, while supporting more senior team members on medium-complexity projects. Responsibilities * Handle the review, signing, and client relationship management for engagements of appropriate complexity, while supporting more senior team members on more complex projects. * Provide limited client relationship management tied to assigned engagements, balancing technical accuracy with clear and effective communication. * Act as a technical resource for junior staff on foundational tax concepts while maintaining an active workload of assigned returns. * Contribute to firm integration and process-improvement initiatives as new practices are onboarded. * Familiarity with a wide range of return types, with primary exposure to 1040, 1120, 1120S, and 1065. * Periodic involvement with 1041, 990s, financial statements, and miscellaneous filings such as 1031 exchanges and FBAR as needed. Requirements * CPA or EA designation preferred. * 4-15 years of public accounting experience with strong technical tax skills. * Proficiency in individual, partnership, and S corporation tax compliance. * High attention to detail and ability to manage a range of return complexities. * Excellent communication and organizational skills, especially in a remote environment. Benefits * Compensation Range: $90k-$150k
