This is a hybrid role (3 days in the office / 2 days remote). About your team: The Interactive Brokers Global Tax Team serves an important role in the success of our business. We mitigate risk and create value for our business and our customers. We partner with many functions across the company, including Accounting, Treasury, Technology, Client Service and Marketing, to assist our business in achieving our commitment to delivering value through technological innovation and providing our clients with unprecedented access to global markets at the lowest cost. The Global Tax Team sets the tax policy for the company and identifies, develops, implements, and manages tax strategies to help minimize our overall tax cost. We advise clients on the U.S. and international tax aspects of our product offerings, manage tax audits, and ensure financial reporting and tax returns are filed timely and accurately. The Interactive Brokers Global Tax team is looking for an International Tax Manager to assist with our tax computations and tax compliance relating to our non-US operations, both under the U.S. international tax rules and under the tax rules of non-US countries. This role will report to the Director, Corporate Tax Operations. A successful candidate must be a collaborative team player who is entrepreneurial, detail-oriented, and an excellent communicator. In addition, the candidate will need to collaborate with multiple tax colleagues regularly, including reviews of each other's work papers and other tax computations. Role’s Responsibilities • Manage the month end close process including creation and review of supporting schedules and monthly reporting pack. Ensure framework of controls and policies is implemented and adhered to., • Develop and maintain a 13-week cash flow model, including forecasting of inflows, outflows, commitments, and payment schedules., • Collaborate with the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) to forecast departmental expenses as part of the cash flow planning process, ensuring timely reporting to the CEO and CFO., • Research and evaluate accounting standards and tax policies, recommending applicable frameworks for the company to adopt., • Oversee regulatory reporting, including tax planning and compliance, ensuring audit processes align with applicable regulatory standards., • Oversee and coordinate efforts of external advisors to ensure successful completion of annual GAAP audits and tax compliance activities, • Mentors the Senior Accountant across all core accounting functions, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, the invoicing process, and other areas., • Supervise payroll operations by reviewing the Senior Accountant’s work for accuracy and approving final payroll submissions, • Maintain job costing function and other financial and administrative systems to ensure accuracy, integrity, and cost control., • Evaluate the effectiveness of accounting software and supporting database, as needed., • Oversees regulatory reporting, including tax planning and compliance, with a focus on ensuring audit processes align with regulatory standards and requirements, • Lead initiatives for digital transformation of the Finance function including selection and migration of ERP (NetSuite preferred).
