ABOUT THE JOB - KEY RESPONSIBILITIES · Lead all carpentry scopes on high-end residential projects · High level carpentry work including finish carpentry, custom millwork / cabinet installation, custom and decorative moldings, custom handrails · General construction of metal & wood framing, door installations, various hardware · Perform precise layout and build directly from architectural and shop drawings · Coordinate with project managers, designers, and subcontractors · Maintain an exceptionally clean, organized and safe jobsite · Protect adjacent surfaces and completed work from damage · Enforce quality, safety and schedule standards ABOUT YOU - TRAITS AND SKILLS NECESSARY FOR SUCCESS · You have extensive experience in luxury residential construction · You demonstrate mastery of finish carpentry and custom millwork · You can lead and communicate well with coworkers · You are extremely detail-oriented with zero tolerance for sloppy work · You are organized, dependable, punctual and professional · You have strong plan-reading, layout and math skills · You anticipate, diagnose and resolve problems REQUIREMENTS · 10+ years’ experience in interior renovations · High-school education · Must have reliable transportation and valid driver’s license · Willingness to work from our project sites throughout NYC and Long Island SCHEDULE · Generally 8-hour days + 30 min lunch, 5 days per week.
