This role focuses on providing high-quality pre-operative and post-operative care to pediatric patients in a hospital setting. Key Responsibilities * Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized pediatric patient care plans * Provide bedside nursing care for pre- and post-surgical pediatric patients * Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately * Perform dressing changes, insert catheters, and initiate IV therapy * Monitor vital signs and specialized equipment, including telemetry * Identify and report adverse reactions or changes in patient condition * Educate patients and families regarding procedures, recovery, and discharge instructions * Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to infection control protocols Required Qualifications * Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg or Rehab experience in a large acute care hospital * Strong skills in: * Physical assessment * Medication administration * Wound care * IV therapy * Post-operative care * Telemetry monitoring * Patient and family education * Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program * Active New York State RN License (Primary Source Verification required) * Current AHA BLS Certification * Experience with EPIC EMR preferred For more details contact at or Call / Text at 516-862-1169.
