Job Description The Warehouse and Dispatch Supervisor oversees the safe, accurate, and timely delivery and pickup of customer equipment. This role leads dispatchers, drivers, and yard or warehouse personnel; coordinates routes, vehicles, crews, jobsite requirements, and equipment readiness; and serves as the operational link among customers, sales, service, and field teams. The supervisor ensures each delivery has the correct equipment, accessories, documentation, and handling plan while driving strong customer service, safety, asset control, and fleet utilization. Reports to: Operations Manager Department: Operations / Logistics Employment Type: Full-time Supervisory Responsibility: Warehouse personnel and delivery drivers Compensation Expected Range: $27.50 - $33.50 hourly. The final offer will depend on relevant experience, supervisory scope, equipment-transport knowledge, shift requirements, and the overall benefits package. Key Responsibilities • Plan, assign, and supervise daily equipment deliveries, pickups, transfers, and returns., • Coordinate delivery schedules, routes, drivers, vehicles, and crew requirements to meet customer commitments and jobsite time windows., • Confirm equipment availability, readiness, condition, dimensions, weight, accessories, and transport requirements before dispatch., • Review jobsite access, loading and unloading conditions, placement instructions, contact information, permits, and other special delivery requirements., • Match loads with properly rated vehicles, trailers, tie-downs, lifting devices, and qualified operators in accordance with company policy and applicable regulations., • Verify delivery tickets, inspection forms, photographs, signatures, proof of delivery, damage notes, and return documentation., • Monitor deliveries in progress, communicate schedule changes, and resolve delays, access problems, breakdowns, rejected deliveries, or customer concerns., • Coordinate with service and maintenance teams so equipment is clean, fueled or charged, inspected, and ready for the next assignment., • Maintain accurate equipment location and status records, including units in the yard, in transit, at customer sites, or awaiting service., • Communicate daily priorities and address performance or attendance matters in accordance with company policy., • Conduct shift meetings and maintain clear communication with customers, sales, service, operations, and field personnel., • Enforce safe loading, securement, transport, unloading, equipment-handling, vehicle inspection, and yard-traffic procedures; report and investigate incidents promptly., • Ensure trucks, trailers, forklifts, loading equipment, and dispatch systems are used correctly and maintained or serviced as required., • Track operational metrics such as on-time delivery and pickup, equipment utilization, failed or rescheduled stops, damage incidents, driver productivity, fuel use, and safety performance., • Identify process improvements that reduce empty miles, idle time, equipment downtime, delivery errors, damage, and operating costs., • Maintain organized records and support audits, licensing, inspection, regulatory, insurance, and company quality requirements., • Perform other related duties as assigned. Required Qualifications • High school diploma or equivalent., • At least three years of equipment delivery, fleet dispatch, transportation, rental operations, construction equipment, or field logistics experience, including prior team-lead or supervisory responsibility., • Working knowledge of route planning, equipment staging, vehicle and trailer capacity, load securement, delivery documentation, and jobsite coordination., • Ability to use dispatch, fleet tracking, equipment management, telematics, or transportation systems and standard office applications., • Strong organizational, problem-solving, customer-service, communication, and decision-making skills., • Ability to manage competing priorities and rapidly changing schedules while maintaining safety and accuracy., • Ability to work the schedule required by the operation, including occasional early mornings, overtime, evenings, weekends, or holidays. Preferred Qualifications • Associate degree or coursework in logistics, transportation, fleet management, business, or a related field., • Experience dispatching construction, industrial, rental, agricultural, or other large or specialized equipment., • Knowledge of applicable commercial vehicle, hours-of-service, load securement, permitting, and equipment transportation requirements., • Experience with GPS routing, fleet telematics, electronic proof of delivery, and key performance indicator reporting., • Current forklift, powered industrial truck, commercial driver's license, or other relevant equipment certification, where applicable. The employee must be able to stand and walk for extended periods; climb into and around trucks, trailers, and equipment when necessary; bend and reach; and safely lift and move items up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
