Job DescriptionRN – Medical/Surgical Location: New York, NY 10016 Duration: 6 Weeks Shift: 07:00 AM – 07:30 PM Pay Rate: $55–$60/hr Job Summary "Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Medical/Surgical Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care to pre- and post-surgical patients in a fast-paced clinical setting. The RN will assess patient needs, administer medications, perform clinical procedures, monitor patient conditions, and collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure safe and effective care. Responsibilities * Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care * Provide bedside care to pre- and post-operative patients * Administer medications and perform IV therapy, wound care, and catheter insertion * Monitor vital signs, telemetry, and report changes in condition * Educate patients and families on procedures and recovery * Assist with discharge planning and maintain accurate documentation * Follow nursing standards, policies, and protocols Requirements * 2+ years Med/Surg experience (acute or post-acute); recent experience within 1 year * Strong skills in physical assessment, medication administration, IV therapy, post-op care, wound care, and patient education * Telemetry experience required * EPIC EMR experience preferred Education & Certifications * Associate Degree in Nursing (required) * Active NY State RN License * AHA BLS required * AHA ACLS required for Queens assignments For more details contact at About Navitas Healthcare, LLC certified WBENC and one of the fastest-growing healthcare staffing firms in the US providing Medical, Clinical and Non-Clinical services to numerous hospitals. In this role, you will provide therapeutic groups and individual interventions to assist members in growth and recovery at the PROS Program. QUALIFICATIONS: Masters in Social Work or Mental Health Counseling or related field. NYS licensed preferred. A valid and clean NY State driver license, fingerprinting, criminal record check, and approval from NYS Office of Mental Health. CORE & ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITY: Provide therapeutic groups and individual interventions to assist members in growth and recovery. Work as part of an interdisciplinary team. Complete all required documentation within a 48 hour period and complies with program and OMH regulations.
