Job Description Position Overview Varsity Health & Training Solutions is seeking a motivated, professional, and engaging CPR Instructor to join our growing team. This role is responsible for delivering high-quality emergency response and certification training programs while also supporting client AED compliance through routine AED inspections, equipment checks, and program maintenance. The ideal candidate is confident speaking in front of groups, adaptable to different learning environments, and passionate about preparing people to respond effectively during emergencies. Key Responsibilities CPR & Emergency Response Instruction • Conduct CPR, AED, First Aid, BLS, and other emergency response certification courses for businesses, schools, camps, healthcare providers, and community organizations, • Deliver training in a professional, engaging, and confidence-building manner, • Adapt instruction style to meet the needs of different audiences and experience levels, • Ensure students understand critical life-saving concepts through demonstration, repetition, and hands-on skills practice, • Maintain accurate class rosters, certification paperwork, and training records, • Set up, clean, transport, and maintain instructional equipment and training materials, • Uphold all standards and guidelines established by the certifying agency and Varsity Health & Training Solutions AED Inspection & Compliance Responsibilities • Perform scheduled AED inspections at client locations, • Inspect AED units, pads, batteries, cabinets, accessories, and emergency response equipment for operational readiness and expiration compliance, • Complete detailed inspection documentation and compliance reports, • Identify damaged, expired, missing, or non-compliant equipment and communicate findings clearly to management and clients, • Assist with AED program implementation and maintenance, • Educate clients on AED readiness, emergency preparedness, and best practices, • Support inventory management and replacement recommendations when necessary Qualifications • Current CPR/AED/First Aid Instructor certification through an approved certifying agency (AHA, ARC, ECSI, or equivalent), • Strong public speaking and communication skills, • Ability to manage classroom environments professionally and confidently, • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, • Comfortable working independently in the field, • Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to client locations, • Ability to lift and transport training and inspection equipment, • Prior healthcare, EMS, fire service, athletic training, education, or emergency response experience preferred but not required Preferred Characteristics We are looking for instructors who: • Can convey information clearly and confidently, • Adapt well to different personalities, age groups, and learning styles, • Take ownership of the material they teach, • Create an engaging and memorable learning environment, • Demonstrate professionalism, accountability, and reliability, • Are passionate about emergency preparedness and helping others Work Environment • Combination of classroom instruction, on-site client visits, and field inspections, • Flexible scheduling including occasional evenings and weekends, • Travel throughout assigned service regions may be required Compensation & Growth • Competitive hourly compensation based on experience and certifications, • Opportunities for advancement and additional instructor certifications, • Continuing education and professional development opportunities available
