Job DescriptionProject Manager I – Climate Resiliency (Clean Buildings) Location: 100% Remote Start Date: March 16 Duration: 3-year contract Schedule: 37.5 hours/week Experience Level: 3–6 years Team: Clean & Resilient Buildings Pay Rate: $36-42/hr DOE About the Role Our client, a mission-driven public energy organization, is looking for a Project Manager I to help future-proof affordable multifamily buildings across Upstate New York. This role sits at the intersection of climate resiliency, building design, and clean energy, supporting projects that reduce fossil fuel use while preparing buildings for extreme heat, flooding, and high winds. You'll serve as the go-to climate resiliency expert for a new affordable multifamily initiative, partnering with internal teams, contractors, and building owners to integrate smart, resilient design into real-world projects — all from the comfort of your home office. What You'll Be Doing * Act as the primary climate resiliency point of contact for an upstate affordable multifamily building program * Integrate climate resiliency considerations into energy efficiency and building electrification projects * Participate in project scoping calls and provide ongoing technical guidance to project teams * Review contractor-submitted designs (including floodproofing and resilience measures) and coordinate feedback with technical staff * Track key resiliency metrics across projects, including costs and performance indicators * Develop helpful resources like FAQs, guidance documents, and templates to support resilience integration * Identify common challenges across projects and help refine overall resiliency strategy * Aggregate project data to inform program decisions and potential future improvements * Support internal program managers with ad-hoc technical analysis and coordination * Collaborate closely within a small, high-impact 3-person climate resiliency team What You Bring * 3–6 years of experience managing technical or design-focused projects with minimal supervision * Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, environmental science, construction management, data analysis, or a related field * Strong understanding of building systems — mechanical, electrical, and/or structural (specialty in at least one preferred) * Experience with residential and/or commercial building design or construction * Knowledge of climate-resilient design concepts, especially related to flood, extreme heat, and wind * Familiarity applying climate hazard and future climate projection datasets to real-world projects * Ability to manage schedules, budgets, deliverables, and multiple stakeholders * Strong written and verbal communication skills — clear, concise, and professional * Confidence leading working groups, supporting junior staff, and collaborating across teams Tools & Tech * Salesforce * GIS tools * SharePoint * Tableau • Microsoft Office 365, • AsanaWhy This Role Is Cool Make a real impact on climate resilience and affordable housing * Work remotely while supporting communities across New York State * Be part of a forward-thinking clean energy and climate strategy * Blend engineering, data, climate science, and project management in one role • Long-term contract stability with meaningful work Integrated Staffing values a diverse, inclusive workforce and we provide equal employment opportunity for all applicants and employees.
