Job Description Pay: $54,573.61 - $72,723.05 per year Job description: The Opportunity Casa de Catrina is a staple of the Carle Place community, known for authentic Mexican fusion flavors and a high-energy bar scene and 5-Star brunch. We are seeking a seasoned, hands-on Restaurant Manager to lead our team, stabilize operations, and uphold the high standards our guests expect. This is a role for a "restaurateur at heart" who wants to treat the business as their own. Key Responsibilities • Operational Excellence: Oversee daily FOH and BOH operations to ensure seamless service, from the first reservation to the final close., • Staff Leadership: Recruit, train, and mentor a team of employees. Build a culture of accountability, high morale, and exceptional hospitality. We expect teamwork and grace., • Team Leadership & Emotional Intelligence: Act as the "glue" for our staff. You must be adept at managing multiple personalities, de-escalating tension, and coaching different communication styles to ensure a cohesive, professional work environment., • Financial Stewardship: Monitor and manage labor costs and COGS. Ensure daily reporting, cash handling, and inventory management are precise., • Meticulous Inventory Management: Take full ownership of beverage and dry goods inventory. You will be responsible for accurate ordering, waste reduction, and maintaining optimal stock levels to protect our margins., • Guest Relations: Be a visible presence on the floor. Proactively engage with guests, resolve issues with grace, and build long-term loyalty in the local community., • Compliance: Maintain strict adherence to Nassau County Department of Health standards and NYS Liquor Authority regulations., • Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of restaurant management experience in a high-volume, full-service environment., • Certifications: Valid ServSafe Manager certification a plus., • Schedule: Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays as the business dictates., • Expert Conflict Resolution: You have a "thick skin" and the ability to remain calm and fair when handling staff or guest issues., • Inventory Pro: Proven experience with inventory software and a "hawk-eye" for detail when it comes to stock and vendor deliveries., • Energy Setter: You are known for your positive attitude and your ability to motivate a team through busy shifts without losing your cool., • Tech Savvy: Proficiency with modern POS systems (e.g., Toast, clover), Uber eats/door dash, and reservation platforms, • Stability: We are an established brand looking for a long-term partner., • Impact: You will have a direct seat at the table in making operational decisions for the restaurant., • Direct Ownership of Results: You aren’t just a shift lead; you are a key decision-maker.
