The Opportunity The Special Education Coordinator is a school-based leader responsible for ensuring the success and fidelity of the special education program at their school. The Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the planning, development, and implementation of special education programs for students with disabilities. This includes responsibility for ensuring that students with disabilities at their school site are provided with effective interventions and that teachers are utilizing data-based decisions to identify, change, and implement interventions for those scholars. In collaboration with the District Attorney’s Offices, the Mayor’s Office of Criminal Justice, the defense bar and the New York Police Department, Project Reset seeks to create a proportionate response to low-level crime outside of the traditional criminal justice process. Upon completion of the session, the District Attorney’s Office will decline to prosecute the case. JOB SUMMARY The Farm Education Manager oversees all youth-focused educational programming at our two farm sites: the 2.75 acre Columbia Street Farm and the 1.1 acre Wolcott Street Farm. The Manager develops and leads hands-on programming for youth aged 5-18. The majority of the time is focused on the Youth Farmers teen apprenticeship, while also supervising our school workshop and middle school programming. The position recruits, hires, mentors, and supervises 12-24 youth farmers. In addition, the Manager is responsible for maintaining the education-focused beds on the farms, as well as leading curriculum development, program planning, strategic visioning, and evaluation. This position also supervises seasonal community education work such as culinary workshops, depending on overall staffing and funding. Regular data entry, email correspondence with participants, teachers, and colleagues, and other weekly admin work are critical responsibilities of this position. Other tasks may include communications work and educational signage development. Spring and Fall schedule: Tuesdays and Fridays (8am - 4pm) are used for in-person school workshops, maintaining education beds, program planning, and occasionally supporting Friday volunteer sessions. Wednesday/Thursdays (11am-7pm) are for morning office work and in-person after-school (early evening) work sessions with the youth farmers. Saturdays are for in-person work sessions with the youth farmers; summer and fall Saturdays also include supervising youth at farm stands. Refer A Therapist Return to the careers page Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) Queens, NYJob Position Details Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) Benefits: • Flexible work schedule, • Access provided to our paperless billing and data collection system (training provided)., • Support from our team of dedicated clinical supervisors and administrative staff., • Financial educational assistance program (when applicable)., • Administer Psychological Evaluations in home and/or school based settings, • Gather necessary information to conduct social histories., • Write comprehensive evaluation reports and social histories and submit them in a timely manner, • Write Individualized Educational Plan (IEP) and/or Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) goal, • Determine need for additional assessment per observation and child need, • Conduct evaluations in the primary language of the child, • Must have a passion for working with children and families!, • NYS Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)., • Experience evaluating children birth - 5preferred but not required., • Familiar with using evaluation tools such as ADOS 2 or CARS 2., • EI Evaluations program requires completion of the EILN Intro and Advanced Assessment trainings., • Must be self-motivated and a team player who exercises patience and professionalism., • Must be able to travel to and from assigned cases, including but not limited to:, • Driving a personal vehicle, walking and/or the use of public transportation such as a bus or train., • The ability to ascend and descend staircases., • The ability to lift 10 pounds regularly.
