We support decision makers and program staff across the institution through business intelligence, impact assessment, strategic conversations, user research, and data mentorship. We are seeking a full academic year Intern to support our work articulating the Library’s role in the intellectual, cultural, and educational lives of its local and global users; identifying opportunities for innovation and leadership in our research centers, neighborhood branches, and digital properties; and advocating for the needs of our communities. The ideal candidate should be familiar with gravity sanitary main, sanitary force main, pump station and wastewater treatment plant components and operation. The individual should also be versed in water main installation, water supply distribution systems and the components and operation of water treatment plants. The individual may also inspect storm sewer systems and roadway construction. The candidate should have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in this field. They will provide construction observation and project management services for municipal and county agencies. PRIMARY DUTIES: • Perform constructability and plan reviews prior to construction. Interact with the design engineer with input before the project goes out to bid., • Perform construction management services for projects that consist of water supply and sanitary distribution systems. Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Environmental Health, Health Education, or a related field required, • Bilingual (English and Spanish, Creole, or Arabic) is required, • Experience working with diverse populations, • Experience conducting presentations, • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, • Demonstrated interest and knowledge in environmental public health topics PMCH aims to foster a workplace culture that prioritizes diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging.
