The technologist is responsible for preparing patients for radiological procedures and adhering to all safety and regulatory standards to ensure patient and staff safety. Requirements \t • New York State Department of Health Licensed Radiologic Technologist (L.R.T).\t, • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification (required).\t, • Competency in performing diagnostic procedures.\t, • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.\t, • Dependability, quality focus, planning, and patient-centered care skills.Education & Licensing\t, • Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Radiologic Technology.\t, • Minimum Licensing Requirements:\t, • New York State License (L.R.T)\t, • Identify patient service requirements and establish rapport with patients to gain cooperation and reduce anxiety.\t, • Prepare patients for radiological procedures by positioning patients, adjusting immobilization devices, and setting appropriate exposure factors.\t, • Operate radiologic imaging equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.\t, • Minimize radiation exposure to patients and staff using proper radiation protection techniques, shielding, and beam-restrictive devices.\t, • Adhere to infection control policies and safety procedures.\t, • Maintain production and quality of radiographs by following established standards and making necessary adjustments.\t, • Document patient care services, including completion and verification of exams, in patient and department records.\t, • Ensure proper operation of radiology equipment, including preventive maintenance, troubleshooting malfunctions, and coordinating repairs.\t, • Maintain radiology supplies inventory and anticipate supply needs.\t, • Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant working environment.\t, • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by meeting regulatory CME requirements and attending educational programs.\t, • Complete yearly Age-Specific Competency requirements.\t Founded in 2015, HonorVet Technologies stands as a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), proudly certified by NaVOBA and the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.
