Job Description Superintendent – Commercial Construction (Long Island, NY) Location: Long Island, NY (Future projects throughout the NYC Five Boroughs) Salary: $150,000–$185,000 (Based on Experience) Employment Type: Full-Time About the Opportunity NorthPoint Staffing has been retained by a rapidly growing, well-established commercial construction management and general contracting firm to identify several experienced Mid-Level and Senior Superintendents to support its continued expansion throughout Long Island, with future opportunities across the New York City Five Boroughs. This is an excellent opportunity to join a financially stable contractor with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality ground-up and renovation projects across multiple market sectors. The company continues to experience significant growth and is seeking field leaders who can successfully manage projects from mobilization through closeout. The firm specializes in commercial, industrial, multifamily, institutional, healthcare, retail, education, self-storage, and office construction throughout the Tri-State region. Project Experience Desired Candidates should have experience leading ground-up commercial construction projects, preferably within several of the following sectors: • Commercial Buildings, • Schools & Educational Facilities, • Self-Storage, • Warehouses & Industrial Facilities, • Retail & Shopping Centers, • Corporate & Office Buildings, • Mixed-Use Developments, • Multifamily Residential, • Healthcare & Medical Facilities (Preferred) Key Responsibilities • Manage all on-site construction activities from mobilization through project completion., • Coordinate and supervise all subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel., • Develop and maintain project schedules while driving milestone completion., • Conduct daily jobsite meetings and coordinate all trades., • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and maintain a safe jobsite., • Monitor quality control and ensure work is completed in accordance with plans and specifications., • Coordinate inspections with municipalities, engineers, architects, and owners., • Maintain daily reports, progress documentation, and project logs., • Identify and resolve field issues before they impact schedule or budget., • Work closely with Project Managers to maintain project budgets and schedules., • Manage punch list completion and successful project closeout. Qualifications • 8+ years of Superintendent experience with a commercial general contractor., • Proven experience managing ground-up commercial construction projects., • Strong leadership and communication skills., • Ability to coordinate multiple subcontractors and maintain project schedules., • Experience using Procore or similar construction management software is preferred., • OSHA 30 certification preferred., • Valid driver's license with reliable transportation.
