The Youth Coach will be responsible for tracking school attendance, curfew compliance and court attendance of all youth enrolled in the program, provide programming for youth during after-school hours, and will work with stakeholders and staff to ensure effective delivery of services to participants and their families. The Senior Grants & Finance Manager is integral to fostering an environment and culture conducive to advancing genomics-related research excellence at the New York Genome Center (NYGC). This role oversees the administration of grants and sponsored research, serving as a key resource for Principal Investigators (PIs) and scientific staff. The incumbent manages a diverse portfolio of funding sources, including government and foundation grants, restricted gifts, fellowships, and startup packages, and advises PIs and program management, helping to set up spending plans that maximize restricted fund usage. This role may also oversee NYGC programs and large initiative funds. Acting as an expert on complex sponsored fiscal policies and procedures, the Senior Grants & Finance Manager interprets guidelines and policies, advises faculty and staff on available options or alternatives, and effectively recommends courses of action. This role liaises with departmental counterparts at faculty members' home institutions to streamline effort, spending, and other financial planning. Additionally, the incumbent is responsible for PI-related deliverables, including effort reporting, quarterly expense validations, annual and quarterly fiscal reports, project closeout, and expense monitoring. The position includes direct supervision of the Pre- and Post-Award Specialist, providing guidance, training, and support. Candidate will have deep expertise in Palo Alto firewalls, including design, deployment, migration, and ongoing optimization of security policies in complex enterprise environments. The engineer will partner across infrastructure teams to ensure secure, highly available connectivity, while also supporting internal and external stakeholders with a strong service mindset. This role requires advanced troubleshooting capabilities, including hands-on experience with Palo Alto CLI-based debugging typical of Tier 2/Tier 3 TAC scenarios, as well as strong foundational networking knowledge across routing protocols and packet-level analysis. The ideal candidate is a natural communicator who can drive problem resolution in large, cross-functional settings, clearly articulate technical findings, and influence outcomes across engineering, security, and operations teams. Success also requires the ability to communicate effectively with senior leadership—translating deep technical issues, risks, and trade-offs into concise, actionable insights—while mentoring junior engineers and helping elevate the overall capability of the team. Responsibilities: • Design, deploy, and migrate Palo Alto firewall solutions across global environments, including architecture of security policies, segmentation, SSL decryption, and centralized management, • Lead complex security and network integrations by applying strong core networking principles (BGP, OSPF, routing design, failover, traffic engineering) to ensure resilient, high-performance connectivity, • Partner with network, cloud, and infrastructure teams to design and implement secure, scalable connectivity across on-prem and hybrid environments, • Serve as a senior escalation point, driving advanced troubleshooting across firewalls and underlying network infrastructure, including deep packet, flow, and session-level analysis, • Support network security operations and incident response, diagnosing complex connectivity issues involving routing, NAT, policy enforcement, and application behavior, • Mentor engineers and NOC staff, reinforcing strong networking fundamentals, structured troubleshooting, and operational best practices, • Manage and prioritize work intake while delivering clear, direct communication to both technical stakeholders and senior leadership, • Evaluate and recommend enhancements to security architecture, firewall capabilities, and network design to continuously improve reliability and security posture Qualifications • 7+ years of network and security engineering experience across enterprise routing, switching, and firewall platforms, with strong foundations in secure connectivity and network design, • 5+ years of hands-on experience managing Palo Alto firewalls, including SSL decryption, security profiles, and Panorama-based centralized management (required), • Strong, demonstrated experience designing and troubleshooting complex network and security environments, including routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), NAT, and packet-level analysis in production environments, • Deep understanding of TCP/IP, traffic flows, and structured troubleshooting methodologies across network and security domains, • Strong understanding of network security design principles, including segmentation, access control, and secure architecture patterns (zone-based design, microsegmentation, zero-trust concepts), • Experience leading firewall migrations and contributing to enterprise network security architecture, • Experience with scripting or API-driven automation to improve operational efficiency Preferred Skills: • Experience across additional enterprise networking platforms and edge technologies, including Arista or similar environments, proxy platforms, load balancers (e.g., F5), and multi-vendor infrastructure, • Experience with cloud networking and security, including AWS networking constructs and security controls, as well as edge security platforms such as Cloudflare or similar services, • Familiarity with modern application and container networking models, including Kubernetes networking, segmentation, and network policies, • Experience participating in or leading multi-vendor infrastructure migrations in large-scale environments, • Relevant industry certifications such as Palo Alto, Cisco, or equivalent

TEAM BACKGROUND: With strong ambitions in sustainability and in an effort to help clients successfully navigate a dynamic market environment, BBVA CIB’s financial advisory unit has set up a specialized group with a focus on offshore wind power and energy transition/cleantech sectors (particularly those involving new or nascent technologies such as battery/energy storage, carbon capture utilization & storage, low-carbon hydrogen, transport electrification and biofuels). The group, currently based in Europe, has global geographic coverage serving a large and diversified client base (corporates and financial sponsors). To better serve clients in the USA and Canada, this advisory group is looking to have on-the-ground presence with a new team being formed in New York City (NYC). Furthermore, given the specificities of the local markets and BBVA presence (including a large PF lending team in NYC), coverage for this new team will also include conventional energy, established renewables and infrastructure sectors. The team will focus primarily on debt advisory (project finance, acquisition finance, refinancing), with potential to include asset-specific M&A scope in the future. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Origination • Assistance in formulation of group strategy and deal targeting, • Helping originate, maintain and strengthen relationships with clients, potential clients, lenders (banks and institutional investors), tax equity/tax credit investors & due diligence advisors, • Participation in marketing efforts and preparation of pitches/presentation materials (both internal and external), • Coordination with internal teams (e.g. coverage, Project Finance lending, syndication, Global Markets) to identify opportunities or propose new business ideas and to help convert these into mandates Execution • Key role in structuring and end-to-end execution of transactions, including full ownership of certain deliverables, • Communication with clients on transaction aspects for which the person is responsible, • Supervision of financial modelling workstream and related analyses (optimisation, sensitivities, valuations, model audit), • Lead role in preparation of deal materials (e.g. information memoranda, info for sponsor and lender approvals), • Assistance in financing and project documentation review and negotiations, • Liaison and coordination with external advisors for due diligence completion General • Training and mentoring of junior members of the team (associate/analyst/interns), • Fostering cross-selling of CIB products working in coordination with other relevant CIB teams, • Overseeing and contributing in internal and external administrative tasks, • Travelling will be required as part of the role for internal and external meetings Qualifications Academic background and previous experience • Master's degree (desirable: MBA or specialisation in Finance), • 6-8 years' experience in debt advisory (particularly project finance and acquisition finance) or combined lending + advisory role and/or M&A advisory, with a solid deals list (including financing structures with tax equity/tax credit), • Experienced associates or junior VPs at investment banks, advisory firms, commercial banks (including those with lending + advisory experience) and from the sponsor/developer side (funds/utilities) will be most relevant for this role.
