The maintenance assistant is also responsible for the daily cleaning and maintaining of the tennis courts. This position also involves all outdoor maintenance of the grounds and surrounding area to the facility. Additional duties may be assigned as they develop. This is a hands-on, full-time working position. Tennis court maintenance is a priority. RESPONSIBILITIES: ● Tennis Court Maintenance● Daily communication with Maintenance team ● All janitorial work in and around the facility (washing and/or mopping floors, stairs, sidewalks, walls, dusting, vacuuming rugs, cleaning glass surfaces, wood panels, sweeping, applying wax to the floor. ● Restack paper products, soap, shampoo, razors, deodorant and other supplies ● Ensure courts are maintained (cleaned, maintained) daily ● Ensure equipment is operational, clean and safe to operate ● Maintain a safe, clean and secure work environment ● Abide by SPORTIME policies and procedures. ● Change light bulbs and batteries in automatic dispensers ● Collect and dispose of trash bags from receptacles ● Collect and place for storage: tennis balls and all other equipment used on ● Tennis court maintenance ● Uphold safety standards by wearing protective gear when using cleaning supplies, identify and correct tripping a and slipping hazards, bring faulty cleaning equipment issues to the attention of the Maintenance Director and the GM and ensure that all MSDS are up to date and easily accessible. JOB SUMMARY Provide effective and successful club management through strategic planning, customer service, staff supervision and support, physical plant oversight and fiscal control. Assume responsibility for the cleanliness and organization of the camp room, program supplies, and activity space., • Support the planning and implementation of all activities, including but not limited to learning initiatives, field trips, and culminating performances., • Create and maintain a strength-based, youth-focused atmosphere that is consistent and sensitive to the needs of participants with learning, emotional, or behavioral differences., • Develop and maintain positive relationships with parents and guardians through regular communication about their child’s strengths and areas of growth. Take a leadership role in providing regular updates to caregivers. Qualities we’re looking for: • Demonstrated ability to assist with activities for kids and teens, • Must have excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills, • Possess a desire to work directly with children, • Ability to multitask and manage workflow in a fast-paced environment, • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with program staff, school personnel, parents, • Sensitive to social-emotional needs and characteristics of students, • Ability to follow directions and adhere to all policies/procedures, • Flexibility, reliability, and sound judgment, • Other duties as assigned, • Must be available to complete and attend trainings before the start of the camp season, • Must be available to work throughout the entirety of the camp season, July 2nd – August 16th REQUIREMENTS • High School Diploma or equivalent, • Must be 18 years old, • College credits and/or degrees are highly preferred, • Physical requirements include the ability to climb stairs, lift children, and monitor events., • Experience working with children strongly preferred Summer Day Group Leaders will be required to report to the school building and interact with staff, students, parents, and school administration.
