Job Description Schedule: Monday - Friday (8:30AM to 5:00PM) onsite in our office in Great Neck, NY. What you’ll do: Responsibilities/Duties: • Provide excellent customer service to patients and direct them to appropriate departments when necessary., • Manage patient check-ins and check-outs, ensuring accurate data entry., • Collect and verify patient insurance details, confirm eligibility and process any co-pays and payments at time of service., • Educate patients on insurance benefits, including in-network vs. out-of-network coverage., • Ensure that necessary forms are completed and on file (i.e. Insurance forms, insurance referrals, authorizations and/or waivers)., • Schedule follow up appointments, document cancelled or rescheduled appointments., • Submit daily payment collection reports., • Manage record requests and releases in collaboration with Medical Records Department., • Open and close office., • Maintain a professional and respectful work environment through positive interactions with patients, physicians, and colleagues., • All other duties as assigned. Who you are: Qualifications: • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, insurance processes, workers compensation, no fault and HIPPA regulations preferred., • Experience working in a clinical setting preferred., • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required., • Proficiency in using electronic health records systems, ModMed a plus and general office software (Microsoft Suite, Teams, Outlook), • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast paced environment., • High school diploma or equivalent required.
