    Bavgruppe Designs is an auto parts company located in Middle Village, Queens, NY 11379. We deal in sales of original and aftermarket parts with an emphasis on headlight/tailights (building of parts, parts assembly, modification, associated work). We have been in business since 2010. The job we are posting calls for a 14-21 hour work week. We are looking for a proactive self-starter who is dependable, hardworking, and organized -- who will be responsible for assembly/dissasembly and modification of headlights for customer order fulfillments. The right person will be highly critical of their own work, pay attention to fabrication detail and work with minimal supervision once directions have been given. The tech will also fabricate led rings, box and label items, and assist with shop organization, among other things. Fabriation experience in shop work or a specialty related trade and dependability are preferred. IF YOU HAVE NO DIRECT OR RELATED EXPERIENCE PLEASE DO NOT APPLY. Core hours will be 830M – 4PM, Monday through Wednesday, 7 hours per day plus 1/2 hour lunch. The shop is located in Middle Village, Queens 11379. Pay starts at $19 an hour and will rise upon completion of a 6 month probationary period. The specifics include: • Tech/Artisan Work - opening different brands of headlights cleanly, and carefully, and modifying of headlights to accept led rings/strips, etc. Includes painting of headlights and re-sealing, • LED Ring and LED Carbon Fiber Eyebrow fabrication, • Headlight lens swap - entails cutting open headlights, and removing old lenses, cleaning of channel, installation of new lens, replacement of old wiring as needed., • Organizing and unboxing of new products/materials, • Organizing and routing orders according to business need/priority, • Ensuring all orders are completed in a timely fashion, • Assembling misc parts, • Using a Dremel to shave PCB boards/gel to enable parts to fit correctly into plastic lenses, • Gluing parts neatly and cleanly, • Using shop equipment to ensure LED rings and other products are operating within correct voltage specifications, • Perform quality assurance checks, • Wiring of receivers/controllers for use with LED components, • Soldering of parts as needed, • Perform independent tasks based upon general direction Requirements: • Excellent independent problem solving skills, • Excels at manual tasks, • Able to adapt to methodical processes, • Meticulous and organized, • Strong work ethic and solution minded, • Excellence oriented, • Present professionally (phsically and in your communication) Preferred skills: • Prior experience in automotive shops, • Prior fabrication experience Non-Starters: • Frequent lateness will not be tolerated., • Frequent unannounced/unplanned absenteeism will not be tolerated. Our customers range from commercial buildings & multi -unit residential buildings to small homes and store fronts located throughout the 5 boroughs. Chief Fire Contractors Co. Inc. is seeking a Fire Sprinkler Technician candidate who will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of fire sprinkler and standpipe systems in commercial, industrial, and residential settings. We are looking for someone with at least 7 years in the field with a strong skill set and hands on experience. Job Duties: • Install, test, and maintain fire sprinkler systems according to codes and regulations., • Conducting service calls, • Performing on-site repairs of our customer’s fire sprinkler systems, • Perform 5-Year Testing on various systems in accordance with the FDNY, • Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with clients regarding any questions that may arise, • Carry yourself with professionalism at all times Qualifications: • Valid and current state driver's license, required, • Must have your own vehicle, • Must live in NYC or Long Island, • Strong communication skills, • Ability to take direction and criticism, • English speaking is a must, • HS diploma/ GED equivalent, required, • Clean record, • Ability to be available when scheduled and on-call as needed, required, • Minimum of 7-year experience in the installation, maintenance, and repair of fire sprinklers or related equipment, required, • Ability to perform 5-Year Hydro-static Testing on the FD Connections (Both Sprinkler and Standpipe) and experience in working with FDNY to witness testing as per VC20 violations, • Knowledgeable in reading and interpreting blueprints is a plus, • Capable of performing physical labor to include carrying and moving equipment & tools up to 50-70 lbs., • Able to work in a multitude of positions such as climbing ladders, scaffolding & high-lift equipment, etc., as well as being in tight spaces should the work require it., • Able to work flexible hours including weekends when required, • Must be able to demonstrate a high level of professionalism at all times, • Must process strong organizational skills, positive attitude, and an ability to learn quickly, • Must be able to successfully perform service and repairs on sprinkler systems in various structures, • Certifications (S12, S13, F-01, OSHA, etc.) are a plus
