Job DescriptionApex Therapeutic Services is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to support students across school settings in The Bronx. We have immediate openings for nurses to provide one-on-one care for students with special needs as well as healthcare assistance during school bus transportation.As a School RN, you’ll play an essential role in promoting student health, safety, and well-being.What We Offer • Support from a dedicated Nurse Educator, • 401(k) after one year, • Educational webinars led by RNs, • NYC Sick TimeResponsibilities One-to-One School Nurse, • Provide individualized nursing care to students with special medical needs, including medication administration, vital sign monitoring, and emergency response., • Create and follow individualized care plans in coordination with families, healthcare providers, and school staff., • Maintain open communication with parents, teachers, and related professionals about the student’s health status and progress., • Advocate for appropriate accommodations and support services within the school environment.Transportation Nurse, • Support students with medical needs during school bus transportation, ensuring safety and comfort., • Monitor health status and administer necessary medications or treatments during transit., • Coordinate with bus drivers, school administrators, and parents regarding logistics and any health concerns or emergencies., • Ensure medical supplies and equipment on school buses are available, organized, and properly maintained.Requirements, • Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license., • Current BLS certification., • At least one (1) year of professional nursing experience.If you’re an RN committed to making a positive impact in the lives of students while growing professionally, we invite you to apply.
