Job DescriptionNow Hiring: Service Employee - Cranford, NJ Pay: $16.35 - $16.50 per hour (based on experience) Schedule: * Sunday: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (primary focus on interior bus cleaning) * Monday - Thursday: 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM (facility cleaning, restrooms, and bus interiors) First Student is now hiring a Service Employee to support our operations in Cranford, NJ. This role plays a key part in maintaining a clean, safe, and organized environment for our fleet and facility, ensuring buses and workspaces are ready for daily service. Why Join First Student? • Competitive wages based on experience Tremendous career advancement opportunities across North America * Positive and team-oriented work environment * Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision benefits * 401(k) with company match * Paid time off and holidays Service Employee Responsibilities • Perform interior cleaning of school buses, including sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing Clean and maintain facility areas, including offices, restrooms, and common spaces * Ensure buses and work areas meet company cleanliness and safety standards * Assist with organizing and maintaining cleaning supplies and equipment * Support general yard organization to ensure smooth daily operations * Follow all company safety policies and procedures * Perform additional duties as assigned by management Service Employee Requirements • High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred Ability to work independently and as part of a team * Strong attention to detail and reliability * Ability to perform physical tasks including standing, bending, and lifting * Prior cleaning or janitorial experience is a plus, but not required * Subject to DOT drug testing and physical (DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including marijuana, for any reason.)
