Job Description URGENTLY HIRING for a INDUSTRIAL ELECTRICIAN for a leading services company in Essex County, NJ! Responsibilities • Travel daily from the Hillside facility to various industrial sites, including chemical plants, waste plants, and food production facilities across Northern New Jersey., • Install, maintain, and repair industrial electrical systems, including high-voltage wiring, motor controls, and associated components., • Perform electrical troubleshooting on industrial equipment and systems to identify root causes and implement effective repairs., • Install, bend, thread, and run rigid conduit in accordance with project specifications and NEC code requirements., • Work with hazardous location wiring, ensuring all installations meet applicable safety and code standards., • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams to plan and execute electrical installations and repairs., • Perform PLC troubleshooting as needed to support industrial automation and control systems., • Work with pneumatics in conjunction with electrical systems where required by the application., • Use appropriate tools and equipment to complete industrial electrical servicing, installation, and maintenance tasks safely and efficiently., • Participate in an on-call rotation for emergency service approximately once every three months., • Collaborate with a team of industrial electricians to complete projects on time and to required quality standards. Work Environment The role is based out of a Hillside facility, with work performed primarily at industrial sites throughout Northern New Jersey, generally within about 30 miles of Newark Airport. Typical hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with overtime regularly available. Work takes place in active industrial environments such as chemical plants, waste treatment facilities, and food production plants, requiring adherence to strict safety and electrical code standards. You will use company-provided work vans to travel to and from job sites and work alongside a team currently consisting of about 10 electricians, with plans to grow the team to approximately 13–15. The position includes participation in an emergency on-call rotation roughly once every three months. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of HILLSIDE, NJ. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $42.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
