Job Description MANAGE OFFICE OPERATIONS Serve as the first point of contact for general inquiries. Manage agendas, attendance lists, special requests, and budgets for key events. Coordinate and oversee on-site execution to ensure a premium hospitality experience for all guests. Identify and secure optimal hosting opportunities for various occasions and guest profiles. Build and maintain relationships with partner hotels and accounts to support Red Bull product availability and in-outlet execution. As directed by local On Premise leadership, develop relationships with key stakeholders at all accounts, including general managers, VIP hosts, bar staff, booking agents, and others. GENERAL HOUSEKEEPING Maintain all reception and office common areas, restrooms, printing stations, storage rooms, kitchen, bar, and conference rooms. Coordinate post-event and post-meeting cleanup with the appropriate administrators and meeting hosts. Address janitorial issues directly with the cleaning company. Serve as the office’s first responder and primary contact for the alarm company. Maintain the employee alarm code list and manage employee office access. Process office vendor payments and manage any related citations. Communicate with the Finance team regarding city regulations, such as business licenses and related requirements. The Institutional Relations Officer is a crucial frontline fundraising role for the Brennan Center. You will join a high-performing Development team that has raised $50-60 million in the last several fiscal years. The team is organized around three principal revenue sources: institutional donors, major donors (individuals and family foundations), and small and midlevel donors. The team also organizes an annual fundraising gala. The Officer will be responsible for securing major grants from institutional foundations and philanthropies – both existing and new donors. Job Description ORGANIZATION OVERVIEW South Bronx United Inc. (SBU) is a sports-based youth development organization that uses soccer as a tool for social change aiming to help youth build character, teamwork, and leadership so they can succeed in high school, college, careers, their community and beyond. SBU serves more than 1,900 young people annually through programming on the field and in the classroom, working to unite a diverse group of students, families, and the South Bronx community toward positive goals. POSITION OVERVIEW South Bronx United seeks an experienced and dynamic individual to join our team as the College and Career Success Program Director. The Director will manage a team of two colleagues and oversee programming for young adults aged 16-24, including college prep for high school seniors, the workforce development program, and college success supports for program alumni, and career success mentorship. The Director will provide substantial outreach, direct services, and data monitoring for college students, graduates, and out-of-school young adults. They will also work with the College Access Manager and Career Success Manager to ensure strong, outcome-based program delivery for high school seniors and workforce development program participants. South Bronx United has a track record of success in working with youth. 100% of the high school seniors in the past ten years have graduated high school, and 94% have gone on to attend college. This position will sustain and build upon this program success. RESPONSIBILITIES * Oversee the college prep program and College Access Manager in supporting high school seniors through the college awareness, application, soccer recruitment, and enrollment processes in both classroom and individual settings. * Oversee the Workforce Development Program and Career Success Manager in helping young adults ages 16-24 build job skills, benefit from on-the-job training and paid employment, and pursue careers. * Support program alumni—primarily college students and out-of-school young adults—towards college degrees and careers through outreach, advisement, mentorship programming, engagement programs, and events. * Coordinate with program partners, employers, schools, colleges, and college soccer coaches in strengthening programming and opportunities for youth. * Collaborate with staff—including soccer program staff and academic staff—along with families and other stakeholders. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES • Bachelor’s Degree, • Experience navigating education systems including schools and colleges, • At least five years' experience working with youth or in college or workforce programs, • Commitment/connection to the SBU mission and the South Bronx community, effective in culturally sustaining approach to our work in a systematically marginalized community, • Relationship building and engagement skills: Can connect with students and families, balance of accountability and support with all stakeholders., • Highly organized, motivated, and detail-oriented: Manages high work volume, strong systems of personal organization and ability to implement systems and procedures, • Experience with college soccer recruitment or college sports (preferred) Full-time, in-person with weekly work from home days. Requires regular presence at in-person evening programming and occasional weekend events. COMPENSATION & BENEFITS • Expected compensation range is $70,000-$90,000 commensurate with skills, fit, and experience.
